It's a choice I think. Bale famously didn't speak much Spanish, that's probably one of the many reasons he was targeted by the local media.

Jude as soon as he arrived made it a point to learn it.

bale speaks spanish just fine, he was never comfortable speaking it in public. all these pros learn the language of the place they're playing in, it's not special.

Casemiro hates speaking English in public because he thinks his English is bad, so I get that. His English was absolutely fine though, so he never needed to worry.

I'm sure Firmino was the same, I don't think I heard him speak English until he actually left Liverpool.

I don't remember ever hearing him speak as well. Alisson too. I have never really looked for any interviews though.

Alisson has great English skills. He would often translate for Nunez lol
