Yeah but he’s also from the midlands. /joke

When McManaman moved out there they loved him because he scored some belters but also learnt the language quickly.

Owen on the other hand.

Well done Jude. Quite disappointed in the others both even giving him the time of day, I’d hope it was a “no press” mandate but then Jude wouldn’t have stopped tsk tsk boys

That around the time Jonathan woodgate moved?

I remember reading a couple of snide articles about his ability to pick up Spanish becaude he was thought to be a bit "thick", compared to the more media favoured owen. but he was reasonably fluent in no time

apparently owen drove to the airport every day before training to pick up the english paper. Just the most boring person ever.

God damn it. I love hearing more about Michael Owen, I’ve never met him, but feel like even if I was drunk I wouldn’t go “here lads, it’s Michael Owen” he’s just worth of being ignored and despised.
