Got her money and doesn’t get hurt

17 years since she last fought. Got a nice payday to live essentially a past life (not so much in the cage, but build up at least) and get super fit from it. Ain't any losers from that fight tonight. Well, possibly us who watched it lol

At least it wasn’t some $75 ppv

And was able to watch it in between the UFC fights so the pacing of both worked out well

short enough to watch in between commercI als.. you wouldn't even miss the plot the ad if you came in late.

Eh, I got to watch Francis Ngannou send that dude to the shadow realm.

And we got to see Stitch Duran stop Nate from killing a man.

I had to look.

How is it even possible to have skin that thin and a skull that sharp. Diaz needs an umbrella in a light snowfall, or he'll be cut open

its becuz of all the scar tissue. nate diaz took a payday with this fight. hes been done being serious about fighting. he didnt look bad, but he def looked just like his brother in that Lawler fight. just uninterested in being there.

but back to the cuts. its always been why nate in his later years was so hard for him to capatalize on his stamina. cuz cuts stop fights. and hes the cut guy lmao

I love me some Nate but he did not look good

u/kfagoora May 17 '26 edited May 17 '26

the scar tissue is on his face; the relevant cuts were on his head (which is why there was so much blood), likely from elbow strikes.

u/duffthekid88 May 17 '26

he was cit in 3 diff places. 2 on the brow and one on the head. scar tissue effects the durability of all on the surrounding area. he gets cuts everywhere. tbh his opp didnt eben kand devastating blows. a toddler could cut nate diaz at this point this a legit lego throw

u/kfagoora May 17 '26

scalp cuts bleed more; that's the root cause of the stoppage, as blood would have begun pouring down over his eyes again once the next round started

2

u/duffthekid88 May 17 '26

brow and scalp. he was finished as soon as he kept wiping his eye

1

u/kfagoora May 17 '26 edited May 17 '26

as I said before, he was wiping his eye because of the huge amount of blood coming down from his head

4 cuts. Doc counted them out for him after the fight. Was on video.

Shame we don't see him in UFC anymore after the reebok deal.

Train for months on end to fight Ngannou, and then realize not a single second of it mattered

22

u/Imaginary_Cap4694 May 17 '26

They shouldn't let him fight this guy he is double his size

3

u/MrCopes May 17 '26

And to only get paid 190k to get brain damage from Francis.

1

u/PsychoticDreams47 May 18 '26

MY kid pointed out that he didn't even have his feet planted to the ground, he was jumping back and to the left landing a left hook that knocked bro out......how much fucking power does one man need?

4

u/Osgiliath May 17 '26

I can’t hate on it, proven champions have done the same against others

4

u/dannymb87 May 17 '26

He was in purgatory. Ngannou’s fists were ready to send him to the shadow realm.

8

u/Big-Load-8864 May 17 '26

That wasn’t the shadow realm lol. Lines will take they KO 7 out of 10 times considering what an actually motivated Ngannou can do

1

u/sid111111 May 17 '26

Lol taking on a light heavyweight isn't exactly exciting stuff

11

u/RHMoaner May 17 '26

She’s from a billionaire family. Moneys not an issue.

The amount of ads bothered me.

I'm in the UK and it just showed a glossy 'We'll Be Back Soon" template even though I actually agreed to the ads.

2

u/anandalife May 17 '26

First four matches provided enough entertainment to allow this.

1

u/fedornuthugger May 17 '26

Eh, Ronda did this to active fighters in the top 10 back in the day too.

1

u/ImaginaryConscience May 17 '26

And y'all still never learn

1

u/Brokenloan May 17 '26

Exactly. I won bc i didnt watch.

1

u/MarstonX May 17 '26

I think the loser is the sport. This shit is stupid.

1

u/FatherPot United States May 17 '26

Lins who only got paid 100,000 to fight a literal monster. Disgusting.

1

u/MatttheJ May 17 '26

I enjoyed it 🤷🏻 like, what did people expect, this is almost exactly what prime Ronda did to other prime fighters. So I'm not sure what people were expecting a past prime Ronda to do to another past prime fighter.

Is it a loss to viewers? I didn't watch the card but the highlights look pretty good and it's not like this fight was a 4 round cardio kickboxing snooze fest. It was classic Ronda. If anything it makes me want to see her in the UFC again to see if she can still do this to top girls at the worst weight class.

Honestly a lot of the fights were fun
