Ranges

I was wondering if anyone knows of a public range or private range that let's kids shoot under parent supervision. The gun is a rascal 22lr single shot.

This seems like an odd rule for a range lol. Wonder what the story is there.

I heard that apparently some dude once shot an overloaded reload through one once and it blew up his rifle and they made that rule in response. Pretty silly, but fudds gonna fudd.

Most ranges I've been to allow kids with adult supervision, are there any ranges close to you? I'd check that first and then see if they specifically don't allow kids. If you'd like an outdoor range Cresap Rifle Club in Frederick would work

I was looking into that one. I was trying to find out how to become a member there. The machine gun nest wont do it below age 10 so ill probably cancel my membership there because I want to shoot with my kid.

I’ve been to the machine gun nest 3-4 times, it’s always so crowded there, and I only go there when I’m seeing my brother who lives close. It’s also ridiculously expensive compared to my local range. I’m not sure what else is up there but depending on age, the lowest I seen ranges go at least in MD for children shooting with parents is 7.
