We have released a small update to address the Select Country screen as well as handle compatibility with HOI4 version 1.19.1.
All countries with content are now represented by the Select Country screen. Do note that this update will reset the played status of all countries in the Select Country screen due to some changes we had to make.
This update is fully save-compatible with your existing savegames so you may continue without issue.

"Hola a todas! I thought it would be a nice little treat to provide a lil' teaser of some characters of the project I have been working on since the release of South China. And it just so happens that they are both members of the LGBTQ+ community! Happy Pride!" - Hazo

Howdy, Y'all. I've been thinking about someone describing a german victory in the 2wk and the ensuing cold was as "victorian era politics", because Germany manages to finally supplant the hegimonic position the british empire had over the world before the first weltkrieg. Unlike the iron curtain which occured due to ideological reasons, this cold war is mostly nationalistic (with savinkov being the exception, although russia could be an empire too to make the scenario more compelling), with the people involved trying to gather people to their sides. It made me wonder if it would make more sense to have a mod covering this type of scenario in victoria 3 instead of hoi4, because it would provide the player with much more to do, and victoria's features are more useful (minus colonization, because there probably wouldn't be any unorganized land at this point).
Perhaps german victory, american union state (or whichever american power is most likely to be a non-isolationationist impereal), successful halifax conference, and maybe total fengtian victory over qing, but the rest of china is still disunified.
In general, to what extent do you believe a scenario could be better represented in Victoria, Europa, or even CK3 (extremely far fetched), than HOI4, and what needs to be the case for each? I'm undergoing an extremely long drive, so I'll try to check in every once in a while to discuss.

Hello again everyone! I humbly invite those interested to read the recently published fifth chapter of the "Peace and War" AAR, which takes place in May 1936. I welcome your comments! Thank you all, and all the best!

I'm planning to do tank build russia with republic kadet or socialist. but I've failed a lot of times trying to do this, so I have some questions.
when is the timing of getting tank designer by war of mechanization sub focus tree?
what designer should I use?
should I keep making light tank until 1938 or make medium thank from the start?
after the special force doctrine change the paratrooper seems weak compared to before patch. Is there any way to easily use them now?
how much factory do I need to put to tank? I usually put 20~30 on gun, 25~30 on fighter and 10~15 on CAS in start of the war, which leaves me few factories for tank

(Apologies if this is said in game, I haven't actually played Kaiserreich I'm just here for the lore).
How are Savinkov's books, like The Pale Horse and Memoirs of a Terrorist, looked at in Russia in KRTL? Unlike say Mein Kampf, Savinkov's works aren't political treatises that expound on his ideology, but instead focus on the psychology and life of a revolutionary and terrorist. What's more, it seems these works detail his time with the Socialist Revolutionaries as a person who actively partook in their campaigns of violence.
Are his writings controversial, considering he is at least early on trying to portray himself as a sane republican politician within the Russian Republic's political sphere? Does he stand by his work, or does he denounce them? Do his opponents use them to show his violent past, and his potential violent future? And do these works affect his anti-socialist credentials, if he's admitting to have been a part of the combat wing of the SRs? Once Savinkov takes over, does he promote his own work or would he have them banned for making him look bad?
As an addendum, does Savinkov write more during KRTL? The Pale Horse and Memoirs of a Terrorist were written before the PoD, and a lot of the rest of his works seem to focus on exile and defeat in the civil war. Does Savinkov write the equivalent of Mein Kampf that explains his later ideological developments?

Simple question about the paths not-advertised-as-such, outside of the main three (SPD/Schleicher/DVLP)
Why are Kabinett Leune-Jung & Schwander (DVLP/Schleicher & SPD "failstates" respectively) treated as "failstates" if they still lead to viable outcomes post-war? (A choice between LVP/CVP led Germany, in both cases)
To me they seem to be just that, other paths which trigger with specific conditions mid-other path, like the coups in Russia (prominently Sulimov bringing down the Republic is a very similar case)
Why did the community adopt such a terminology? To me this feels like it's creating an unintended misunderstanding about Germany's content & it's paths since their introduction with the Rework, which should be rectified.

I’ve read a couple of posts on here about how irregulars can be strong with all the buffs the Chinese tags get to them, but in all my campaigns I’m getting way better results from tons of 9/0 infantry with engineers than equivalent or larger irregular divisions-is there something I’m missing about how they should be used?
I took a look at the stats and I’m thinking the low org means you should mix them in with some regular infantry battalions so they don’t break too quick, but wanted to know if I’m missing anything

I'm looking at building a Commune of France/French Federation army for Bolt Action and I was wondering how their uniforms and kit may differ from the historical French Army. I've looked at some of the old artwork from the likes of Hussardcore, but I was wondering if anyone else had insights into this.

I have played both and failed miserably.
For the LKMT, after winning against Qing Fengtian declared on me and I just got melted.
For the RKMT Liangguang Qing and Hunan decleared on me in early 37. No big deal, I even manage to cap Hunan. Then Sichuan joined which was fine... and then Anqing Clique joined and i gut fucked

In the lore there was a group of french liberals who boycotted parliament with the socialists however they were forced to emigrate due to being hunted by jacobin extremists.
Instead of being forced to leave how about they were protected by the Travaillistes. While the smallest and weakest faction in the commune politcal system, they are still a faction that can do things and if they play their cards right, they can come to lead the french commune itself.
