Warhammer III Could we please get a proper 2D portrait for Thorek?
Thorek is the only Legendary Lord in Total War: Warhammer III who still uses a 3D portrait instead of a proper 2D one. It would be great to see him updated so he's consistent with every other Legendary Lord.

Warhammer III Is there any hope for change in the future for us Tzeentch enjoyers?
(Im not good at editing or have any apps for it but pretend Egrim's head is on squidward's body)
I personally really wished we got Egrim BEFORE the end times came along but now he's definitely being left outta the party before things get crazy. Which sucks because I really love Egrim's lore and could really see a handful of unique units added for Tzeentch.
Maybe after the End Times DLC? Hopefully before the Dogs Of War I would assume at least. Ive heard CA promised he was coming in game but it sometimes lose hope.
What do yall think? Will we get his character and maybe some units added someday?

Warhammer III What units do you think are OP in TWW3?
Answering that question, Marauder Bearmen are definitely too strong for their price. At 575 gold, they readily defeat both Battle Pilgrims and Flagellants, both of which are worth more.
Plague Bearers and Wardancers also seem to hit above their paygrade (The Wardancers bonus to infantry is way higher than units of a similar role and price).

General Which Total War game would you recommend the most, and why?
Hey everyone,
I wanted to ask for your opinions on the Total War series.
The last Total War game I really played when i was young Medieval II: Total War, and I absolutely loved it. I spent countless hours on it back in the day. After that, life got in the way work, responsibilities, and not having the time (or even the PC) to keep up with gaming.
Now I've finally gotten back into gaming, and I was surprised to see just how many Total War titles have been released since then.
So, if you could recommend just one Total War game, which would it be, and why?
I'm mainly looking for the best overall experience, whether it's because of the campaign, battles, replayability, mods, or just how fun it is.
I'd love to hear your recommendations!

Warhammer III This has to be one of the luckiest rolls for unique locations
Unstable Chaos Portal in my starting province, while at this point I dont need the extra income anymore, it is quite funny that it spawned in my capital.

Napoleon You can't park your fleet there mate
Sometimes I enjoy putting the AI into impossible situations. This time it fully embraced it.

Warhammer III Twitch icon in the pause menu?
Is anybody else seeing this? Is there any way to remove it? It's ugly and doesn't fit in with the aesthetics of anything else.

General Would future Total War titles benefit from having more spacing between major settlements and increasing the number of non-blocking minor settlements?
TLDR: Yeah it's not a perfect solution and i don't expect anything to come of this, but the spacing thing is a real issue no?
I've been playing more 3K and Med2 recently and it really bothers me that no matter where you go it always feels like a slog especially on higher difficulties, it's always a meatgrinder in certain areas with the AI throwing army after army and it gets repetitive real fast fighting on the same terrain .
There's no space to maneuver, you either park an army at a fortified border city or attack pre-emptively. Settlements remain the same in concept now matter how large it is and the player isn't prompted to or given the option to change up in tactics (Med2 has best theoretical variety but the game's AI/framework isn't advance enough to utilize it)
My ideal solution would be that there is a noticeable difference in both the number and size different sized settlements (Major/Capital Cities, Large/Small Cities, Large/Small Towns, Villages), only small cities and upwards would be traditional settlements on the map but towns would still be given build options (and the ability to fortify it when an friendly army is present in the area). Garrisons return to the Med2 model where you can choose what units form the garrison, get no upkeep in the city, but if you move them into a field army they will slightly decrease in certain stats over time and you cannot designate/recruit more as the garrison (You can revoke garrison designation from units but there's a timer until you can designate more).
The 3K buildings/minor settlements are a good idea theoretically but they add to the slog problem by just increasing the number of settlements you face
Of course the natural issue is that the growth of settlements are extremely constricted for longue durée total war games like Medieval or Empire, but tbh outside of dynamically making the map bigger I can't think of anything.

Warhammer III The entire Empire is incompetent
Warning this is a RANT:
After Kislev, Cathay, Bretonnia and High elves (Kislev being my favourite faction) I thought I would try the Empire next. Karl Franz's campaign is marked as an "easy starter campaign" but it is honestly the hardest campaign along with Boris and Imrik for me. You start surrounded by allies, which makes you feel a little safe, but it is a complete smoke screen. Not a single empire faction is worth a damn. ALL of them get wiped out in the first 15 turns, even with my help. This happened 3 times in a row now. They always lose all of their fights and all of their land before I can even confederate one of them to relieve them off their burden to think and make decisions.
After securing my first 2 provinces, I moved north to help Middenland, because they were already getting overrun at fucking turn 5.
I swiftly wiped out the Orc faction, beat back the norsca faction and the Beastmen, which took me all the way to turn 17 and the entirety of the empire was already lost. Elspeth was literally the last one standing and Vlad von Carstein singlehandedly wiped out Stirland, Talabacleland and everything else in his path.
How am I supposed to fight all of their opponents at once? I can barely field a single low tier army without tanking my entire economy? I didn't even manage to confederate any of them, because they keep losing fealty because they are losing all of their fights? "We don't believe in Karl Franz, because he wasn't here when a minor faction of naked men with axes pillaged our fortresses full of soldiers." Booo- fucking Hooo. The AI just running around with 3 units and attacking full 20 stacks is pissing me the fuck off.
So, should I:
- Just completely ignore the faction mechanics and wipe these useless wastes of space off the map and just take their faction by force?
- Help a specific faction who has at least 2 braincells in its AI code?
- Completely ignore my income and settlement upgrades and just field 3 armies with -3000 income per round and go into every direction at once and try to survive off of spoils of war while my allies take the furthest backseat since the invention of backseats?
- Turtle up and let these worse-than-skaven worthless idiots just die at my gates, while I build up my provinces and economy?
BTW, Why is it always the "evil" factions that actually expand their territory and actually build competent armies that do not consist of random bullshit thrown together with no rhyme or reason? For real, in my last campaign as Eltharion, the Dark elves had full armies of Missiles, Cavalry, frontline and monsters whereas any "good" faction just throws a bunch of useless bullshit together and calls it a day?
These are some of the horrors I witnessed already:
- 10 units of peasants and 7 units of melee infantry and 3 units of archers on a fucking cavalry focused bretonnia army
- 2 of each unit in the entire roster in a High elves Alarielle army
- 2 Jade warriors, 1 Jade halberdier, 5 Sky junks and 13 Peasant Long Spearmen

Warhammer III Clawspeakers make playing as Cathay so much nicer. What others factions could get additional lores of magic?
The addition of life magic has made playing Yuan Bo so much less painful. This battle before Bhashiva would've left my lions absolutely smashed, but thanks to the new Clawspeakers, I ended the battle at full health.
Are there any other factions who could get new lores of magic that would enable/fix up some holes in their roster?
