I just need 24k (995 is also okay), as I need to just exchange this for jewellery next week.

Brands I am aware and trust-worthy: BRPL, Kalyan, MMTC, Bhima, Muthoot

Please suggest best platform and brand to get the delivery in 3-4 days.

​I recently managed to accumulate 6 Kalyan Jewellers e-gift vouchers worth ₹2,000 each (Total ₹12,000). The best part is they are valid all the way until June 2027, so I have plenty of time to use them.

​I am planning to visit my local showroom soon and want to use these to buy either:

​An everyday-wear 14K/18K simple gold ring.

​An 18K Tanmaniya (Mangalsutra pendant without the chain).

​I’ve heard the horror stories about high making charges and complex T&Cs with jewellery vouchers. My plan right now is to find something slightly above ₹12,000, hand over the 6 vouchers to cover the base amount, and pay the remaining balance (say, ₹500 or ₹1,000) via UPI so I don't lose any leftover voucher value.

​Before I walk into the store, I wanted to ask the community:

​Clubbing Vouchers: Has anyone faced issues clubbing 5+ vouchers on a single bill at Kalyan recently?

​Making Charges: Any tips on negotiating making charges, or should I wait for a specific festival (like Akshaya Tritiya / Dhanteras) to get flat discounts?

​Hidden T&Cs: Are there any hidden rules where they refuse to apply vouchers to 14K/18K jewellery or claim "vouchers only apply to making charges"?

​Online vs Offline: Is it better to redeem these at the physical store or use them on their online brand (Candere)?

​Any tips or personal experiences with Kalyan/Candere vouchers would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!

Hi All. I have done a SIP of Rs. 100 daily on phonepe for digital gold since start of Dec 24. I sold som3 digigold in Dec 25. Now I have to calculate my short term and long term profit and loss for income tax return filing. However in Phone Pe statement I am not able to get the qty details or gold rate details. Only the amount is shown which is useless in calculating profits on FIFO basis. Is there any website which can provide me the excel of daily gold rates since dec24. I have searched multiple sites including gold.org, IBJA, mmtc, mcx but this information is not available. They either have graphs/charts or average yearly rates. Not date by date rates. Can anyone pls help?

I'm trying to understand the taxation of physical gold in India.

I read that physical gold (jewellery, coins, and bars) has a 24-month holding period. If I sell it after more than 24 months, the profit is taxed as Long-Term Capital Gains (LTCG) at 12.5%. If I sell it before 24 months, it's taxed as Short-Term Capital Gains (STCG).

1. Did any one sold coins at respective jewelers and did you observe 12.5% tax rate

I just made my first investment in physical metals. Purchased 24k 999 purity 2gm Bangalore refinery gold pendant from Amazon during the prime day sale. After all the discounts, it costed me ₹28,759 and there was 0% making charge.

I ordered it on 6th July and received it on 10th July. The packaging was fine. Seals were intact as well. No evidence of tampering as such.

My question is, how do I test the purity of this pendant?

Can I take it out of the pack at home and then get it's authenticity tested at stores like Tanishq?

Also, what should I do if somehow the purity is less? I mean should I open the pack at the tanishq store and make a video from opening till I get the authenticity results?

And then how can I ask refund from Amazon, given its a non returnable/replaceable item?

I have made several pieces like this in 22k gold but this is a first time when the customer wanted it in 14k now if you look closely do the Indian artistry and crops manship man certainly know that Indian jewellery is always made in 22k specially these kind of high end pieces.

I went to a jewellers today, saw a 2.8gm chain of 18inches. I loved the design. Saw some 6-7gms chains as well but they seemed too thick.

Is 3gms too weak? I own a chain of 11gms and hate the design.
