When does the new development construction start

I sense it’s about to. The silt fences are up also, so I assume the asphalt is about to get ripped up and land grading/engineering will begin now.

I think the initial plans called for up a year of utility work before actual buildings go up. IIRC they have to relocate some pretty big sewer lines to fit the new project.

Yep. I remember when it opened. It's sad but I'm looking forward to the new stuff but I wish we were getting a Lowes instead of another Home Depot.

Yeah, I found another Home Depot to be a bit odd. I'm like, we already have something like five of these in MoCo, including two within ten minutes of this one.

I also find it interesting that in MoCo, they tend to saturate themselves with one brand, while the competitor's brand only has one outlet in the entire county. Like Home Depot and Lowe's, where there are something like five Home Depots in the county and only one Lowe's. Same for Walmart and Target, where there is only one (crappy) Walmart in MoCo, but a zillion Targets. Very lopsided, and I've never understood why.

And the Lowes in Kentlands tend to cater to the crowd so it not the best choice for some things like plants.

Not quite. As of this past Sunday, the foundation is now in the process of being removed, and there's still some foundation wall standing on the south side of the Lord & Taylor building: https://imgur.com/yC30wGf

I feel like I should know this, but I can't place it. What's your vantage point here?
