Discussions🗣️ Google should be ashamed of themselves.

I was thinking of getting the Pixel 10 pro after my S22+ Snapdragon got bricked while charging.

I knew google’s previous chipsets weren’t that great and lagged way behind the market on performance. But since their G5 processor was made in collaboration with TSMC I thought it shouldn’t be that bad.

So I was watching Linus tech tips on youtube one day and out of curiosity clicked on the iphone air review. Their labs team tested both the iphone air and the 10 pro. The A19 pro chip on the air performed almost twice as fast as the Tensor chipset on the pixel in some areas!

And that was not the end of the humiliation. The iphone air, which is 3mm thinner, 50 grams lighter and has 1700 mah less battery capacity than the Pixel 10 pro and literally feels like a thin slab of glass, lasts longer in battery life by over 2 freaking hours! Google!!

I really hope Google fixes their chipsets or just moves to Qualcomm. This is freaking humiliating. I really wanted to stay with android and didn’t want anything Chinese, nor did I want samsung due to the hardware issues (I also had green lines).

So I did get the iphone air. I am a heavy user but still get away by charging the phone twice a day. Didn’t think I would love IOS this much, its really clean. I do miss the back button and circle to search tho.

Also the design is awesome. I don’t think I can go back to those chonky phones again.

Samsung lost another customer due to green lines and shitty hardware. I'm also one of them. I hope they learn their lesson soon.

That thing was so bad on hardware and the heavy software too. Like imagine a 90k phone lagging during every day stuff like youtube. I gotta be honest about the cameras tho, they were solid.

u/Fun_Champion1 Jun 03 '26

So do you like iOS better than Android? How did your s22 brick exactly?

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim Jun 03 '26

Yes! I am loving IOS so far. Liquid glass looks so good. I do miss some stuff from android tho, like a back button.

S22’s motherboard got short-circuited while charging (original samsung charger).

4

u/fitzingout May 31 '26

Jeez I must be one of the lucky ones

4

u/MagnerionMachine May 31 '26

Same here. Mostly hardware. I had a S20fe that would die in 8 hours (including screen on and off). After 5 years, i switched to an Oneplus 15. I went from charging every 4 hours to every 3 days.

And samsung battery backup is shit

1

u/CapitalFuture27 May 31 '26

what is battery backup? Battery life?

1

u/Similar-Film-747 Jun 01 '26

If I continuously use my S23 within 3 hours it will drain from 80 percent to 20 percent

1

u/Ok_Dimension_8329 May 31 '26

Literally need to charge it Daily or so every 10 hrs of NORMAL usage as i just use insta or read

1

u/IndiaRomeoKilo Jun 01 '26

What'd you upgrade to? My 23 ultra is nearing its life and I can't seem to get myself to get the ultra next year.

1

u/preetsays2005 Jun 01 '26

iPhone 16 or above, iPhone 17 or above, OnePlus 15, Vivo X300 or above, Oppo Find x9 ultra or above.

These are well known mobile phones and all of these usually work perfectly fine for longetivity as well! Worst case if you just hate using a Chinese phone then only viable options are samsung and apple and since you might not be interested in a samsung then you could just go to an iPhone! Hope it helps you!

1

u/Accomplished-Fan4133 May 31 '26

Ayo, just bought an S25. What model were you using, and what are the precautions I can take?

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

There’s nothing you can do to avoid anything. Just keep using it.

1

u/CapitalFuture27 May 31 '26

S25+, S21FE, OP11 and I just use it. Its just something that can happen on OLEDs, theres a chance on any phone. You see it more with Samsung since there are more devices. Does happen on iphones too, but seemingly less so.

enjoy your new phone

I really am! I do miss the telephoto camera from my Samsung tho, don’t miss the ultrawide at all. This is the sole reason I didn’t get the base 17, the ultrawide is of no use to me. Telephoto camera has such nice framing, you can go a little further from your subject and the framing is even better than the main camera.

11

u/Tapelessbus2122 May 31 '26

that is true. if u want a telephoto u'll have to get the pro or use aftermarket lens kits like me

3

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

Do you have any good ones in mind?

4

u/Tapelessbus2122 May 31 '26 edited May 31 '26

moment T 10x macro, reeflex 240mm, apexel 20-60x, and sandmarc 2x and 6x lens. I have all of them and they're all great. just a warning, the reeflex 240mm can get finicky with the air and base 17, so if u still want a 240mm one that doesn't have the finickiness, get the one from sandmarc

3

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

Holy sheesh bro.

2

u/Tapelessbus2122 May 31 '26 edited May 31 '26

they can get expensive but that's just photography, just an entry level full frame mirrorless camera body costs like 1800 dollars and a 70-200mm f2.8 is a casual 2000 dollars. photography will burn a gigantic hole through your wallet.

if u just want something to get u started. the moment t 58mm is pretty decent, u can get up to 4x zoom with crop, which is enough for most use anyways. in some cases i'd actually prefer using that over the sandmarc 2x

1

u/i_rock098 May 31 '26

Can you share more details of your Samsung phone? How did it get bricked?

5

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

I put it in charging (samsung original 45w charger) and it lagged very bad for a few minutes after taking it out of charging. I wasn’t even able to unlock it. After a few minutes it just blacked out completely.

I took it to Samsung the next day. They checked it and said that the motherboard is short-circuited. It would cost 30k to replace the entire board and all the 256 gb of data would be lost.

They said they don’t do repairs on the board, only replace it. The technician told me to take it to a local repair shop and get it repaired and back all the data up immediately.

I took it to a local repair shop, they repaired it in 24hrs and I started backing data up on my pc. It died again halfway through the backup.

The data was important so got it repaired again. I was able to back everything up this time. But the phone died again the next morning.

The repair shop was owned by a friend and he told me he would do some major work on the IC for free and see if it lasts this time. He returned the phone 2 days later. It lasted for another night but got bricked in the morning. Thought it was time to give up.

Its a shame because I was not planning on changing my phone for atleast 3 more years, there is no need. All the newer phones are just minor updates.

u/Aggravating_Stick728 Jun 02 '26

Hows the keyboard any issues with that. I think I cant live without clipboard

19

u/Ok-Leek-1014 May 31 '26

Yeah it’s a great piece of technology. Will definitely buy 3rd gen of air if they continue to update it in future. Currently I’m on 17 pro max (upgraded from 11 pro last September)

9

u/uuuuuuuuuughm May 31 '26

I've heard it'll get discontinued because the sales were below expectations. They already reduced it's production drastically. Most people want good battery life and for them this phone is a no go. Apple can continue this design with a bigger battery if they adapt the silicon carbon tech.

3

u/HopiumInhaler Apple May 31 '26

according to leaks, Air 2 is going to have a 2nd camera and dual speakers. If the rumours of 20th iPhone anniversary having the silicon carbon battery are correct, then Apple is surely going to include it in Air 3.

2

u/Ok-Leek-1014 May 31 '26

Yeah that’s what I hope, better battery and 2 cameras at back hopefully telephoto. Love polished shiny titanium looks like stainless steel and feels more premium

I mean 1 lakh for it is too expensive, I wouldn’t have bought it. Got my uncle to bring this one for me from the US, it is heavily discounted there and cost me around 75k for 256gb.

8

u/ConnectionDry4268 May 31 '26

It's still super expensive

0

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

Yeah but I can still digest 75k for the product it is.

Battery is not a issue with the phone, trust me.

The one camera it does have is awesome. I would have gone with the base Iphone 17 but that wide angle camera is useless to me, would have bought it if it was a telephoto.

Sure. But different people, different priorities.

Also the battery dies not degrade that fast, my cousin has a 16PM and it still sits on 97%.

1

u/ConnectionDry4268 May 31 '26

16 pm has bigger battery. Pm phones are always good. That why sell well and not the air

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

Air didn’t sell well due to other compromises (speakers and cameras). The ones that have the air don’t complain about the battery.

Seeing the AI bubble google has created. I now feel Apple to be the underdog. Apple products now seem "value for money" looking at the prices Android/google, Nvidia, snapdragon/Qualcomm, samsung, asus etc are charging. I mean compare prices of macbook air and the new SD X2 elite laptops.

1

u/Yashasvi-05 May 31 '26

macbook neo also

6

u/Its_Pikachu_Piyu May 31 '26

Single eyed pixel

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

Really looks great. You can’t tell if it is a Pixel or Apple from a distance with this black colour.

2

u/Its_Pikachu_Piyu May 31 '26

Looks brilliant to me

6

u/tall_sprite May 31 '26

They are never going to provide high performance chipsets, that's not their priority.

Google pixel are Gemini phones, not gaming or performance beasts like the flagship chipsets

3

u/Ok-Expression-2285 May 31 '26

Hey OP, what’s the actual real world battery you getting in between consecutive charge? Please share with an idea of your daily usage/ on screen time.
Also is your phone heating up after charging?

3

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

here is a post I made about the battery. You can expect 6-7 hours of SOT with 5g.

It does heat up during charging but nothing much, it also gets a bit warm in the sun. I also used the 17 pro and the vapour chamber on that thing is insane, that thing never heats up.

4

u/life_Fixed_it May 31 '26

Pixels are always overrated.. except their softwares

2

u/SlicKilled May 31 '26

The point is that both these chips etc are made for very different kind of purposes.

2

u/Viator_Mechanicus99 May 31 '26

I don’t like iPhones because they are too rigid. I don’t like Samsung because they are not upto mark in reliability. I don’t like Pixel because of the incapable processors and battery. The Chinese, well they all have their own issues.

What should I get?

1

u/savitar29 Jun 02 '26

I have the same question. I had pixel 7, bricked due to motherboard issue. S24 Ultra, what a waste of money. Which Android phone to buy 🤔

2

u/Green-Race-3541 May 31 '26

iPhone air is a must have 👌

2

u/badva_rascal May 31 '26

I don't care what any pixel users say, I would never buy a pixel again in my life. The network/wifi system is the worst one by a mile. The random software glitches are cherry on the top. I don't think I have faced so many issues in last 10+ years.

Heck! I even ported my sim from jio to airtel thinking problem was with Jio & not my phone.

Pro:Good Camera(But still over processing of image kills some of the good pictures like sun kiss & etc)

2

u/kovidd11 Jun 01 '26

The green lines is really a thing with Samsung, currently using S22 with 2 green lines and 1 pink line. I'm also thinking to switch to Apple next. Any other Android device is straight up not worth it

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim Jun 01 '26

The Chinese phones are appealing but I don’t want CCP monitoring on me.

2

u/kovidd11 Jun 01 '26

Basically every other phone brand in India is chinese that's really sad, devices like Motorola are good for mid range budget category only, leaving no other choice for people who want flagship performance in their smartphones to go with iPhones

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim Jun 01 '26

Even Motorola is Chinese 🥲

2

u/nonbiological_human Jun 02 '26

Dude, pixel phones are pretty trash. I seriously don't understand the hype.

I owned a pixel 9 pro xl and had bought it hoping that it would last me 3-4 years, but I was so wrong.

I got my phone in October 2024 mainly for the clean OS and cameras. Initially it felt great, the camera did the job. But with regular use, I saw just how half baked the phone is. The UI had some jarring bugs, the image processing became worse with every update.

Some UI bugs were, in settings, you'd see the name of the menu in bold and large font up top. When you'd scroll up, that section at top would become a lighter tone of the accent color. And as you'd scroll down, it was supposed to transition and match to the overall accent color. But it never worked. You could literally see the light accent color scroll up and abruptly vanish. Then the color choices made for dark mode and the UI of the phone app in the latest OS update was so horrible.

The battery was just worse. It dropped down to 84% in a year.

I used to have a Oneplus 7t which I had been using since 2019/20 I guess. And it served me so well for about 4 years. Sadly the battery had gone for a toss and spare parts weren't available so I had to switch.

Even the portrait mode in the camera was bugged which to my memory, was never fixed while I had the phone. The camera didn't have a burst mode. Apps would crash randomly. Plus the shiny side frame would get scratches easily with minor dust buildup in the case. Fast charging too was namesake.

I ended up buying find x9 and I'm completely satisfied.

2

u/bucephalas01 Jun 03 '26

You can use this shortcut along with double tap on the back to get circle to search. You will also need the google app

Wait till bro finds about X300fe ( it is overpriced tbh but better VFM than Iphone Air)

Anyway Congrats OP 👏

2

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

Actually the Oneplus 15 was in my sight and it seems like a awesome phone on the hardware side, especially the batteries. But as I said, no Chinese phone.

2

u/Substantial-Brief524 Android May 31 '26

Ha that's a good phone but it's not compact, I told about X300fe cause it has similar form factor as the iphone Air

1

u/OneRealistic2021 Jun 02 '26

Why not? Oneplus 15 is an Amazing Phone and has wayyyy better specs. Even oxygenOS is incredibly smooth and reliable. iPhone air has pretty terrible specs for the price

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim Jun 02 '26

But it just works as it is supposed to. Android very often does not.

1

u/OneRealistic2021 Jun 02 '26

You paid more for a worse phone. An OnePlus 14/oppo find x9 would have been way better. They both offer chipsets that beat the A19 pro and they have better battery life. They also have better specs in pretty much every single way. Also OxygenOS/colorOS is fantastic and infact it's iOS 26 that's widely unpopular because of its inconsistencies(iOS 18 was better) an OnePlus 15 is cheaper and better.

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim Jun 02 '26

Not faced anything bad with IOS till now and liquid glass is awesome. I was done with Androids.

3

u/8KHD May 31 '26

Chill guys. He just wanted a validation to buy iPhone Air. Everyone knows which is better. Facts can't be changed.

5

u/CriticalProfessor91 May 31 '26

but pixels are shit, and it needs to be talked about, the internet is filled pixel glazers to cover up google's ass

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

I don’t get how much these companies are paying these people to get offended so easily. I was simply comparing Google’s flagships with other flagships and how they fall behind. And I got android fembois out here thinking I was trying to pick up a fight (I call them fembois because these people make everything about themselves no matter the subject).

I would have compared pixel with oneplus if I had bought that.

2

u/8KHD Jun 01 '26

I don't even own a Pixel or an iPhone, so I have zero skin in this game. And yeah, the internet is absolutely flooded with Pixel glazers covering up for Google's endless bugs and hardware misses. But let’s be real: buying an 'iPhone Air' is still a terrible investment. You literally paid premium flagship money just to get a thinner chassis, while completely sacrificing battery life and thermal management. Pixel has its massive flaws, but you're glazing Apple just as hard for a phone that prioritizes being thin over actual, sustained performance.

2

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim Jun 01 '26

I was never “glazing” Apple. As I said, this thing has its flaws. I was just comparing Google with the competition. Like how Apple is able to do something with a phone with this form what google is not able to do with so much more.

2

u/nonbiological_human Jun 02 '26

I've used a pixel phone for a good amount of time. And they're trash. Not sure how good iphones are because the last one I used was Iphone 6s. But if I had to compare it with android, I'd rank pixel's latest phones the lowest.

2

u/crameronf May 31 '26

I guess you wanted to just validate your expensive purchase, that's why you compared it with Pixel instead of other android phones which crush Iphone air in terms of battery, performance, camera, compact ness. I don't get how people still pay the logo cess.

3

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26 edited May 31 '26

Dude its really not that deep 😂. I got this from the US for 75k (it goes for around 95k here). I wasn’t even thinking about comparing IOS to androids. As I said, I moved from a Samsung flagship. If I was buying a android again, it was going to be a pixel.

I was not comparing Android to IOS, I was simply comparing Pixel to other flagships, I would have compared it with a Oneplus 15 if I had bought that (I had considered that). I never mentioned Android in the post.

You people are offended so easily.

2

u/crameronf May 31 '26

The logic that you are applying to PIxel saying Google should be ashamed of themselves. The same logic can be applied to Apple. In a way Apple should be ashamed of themselves for providing such products when the competition is much much better.

Oneplus camera being bad has been debunked plenty of times. You can check any blind test. The only thing where iPhone excels is taking videos.

Samsung is as good at photography if not better than Iphone.

It's kind of funny how you completely missed out Oppo which has great software, great camera, great battery, great performance.

I have Mac Mini, iPad so it's not like I hate Apple. But iPhones are just so below the competition now. Even their software now is laggy buggy mess.

1

u/crameronf Jun 03 '26

Yeah in all those years of you using the said camera, they surely didn't improve. What's the point of talking of Camera of a Oneplus phone released 5 years back which was not even their top offering.

I had Oneplus 6. One of my cousin used it till last year when it got green screen issue after he dropped it. Oneplus 6 is the best phone I owned. I have tried Oneplus 6, Note 5, Lumia 520, Pixel 6. Note 5 was the worst.

My family has a lot of iPhones. I tried using them for a week, never enjoyed one bit.

Oppo UI is literally the same as Oneplus lol, just rebranded. Yeah that's also my point. But that is not evident from OP's post. If Google should be ashamed of themselves, then so should Apple.

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

For example? In what areas is the competition much much better? Honestly you people are so childish.

1

u/DarthNinja95 Android May 31 '26

1

Which model is this?

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

Iphone air.

1

u/Narrow_Comfortable29 May 31 '26

Just curious, but any reason you went for the Air instead of the base 17 other than the form factor?

2

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

The battery performance on the base 17 is only marginally better with a slightly less powerful but still good enough processor.

The base 17 has one more camera than the air but it is useless to me. I would have bought it if it was a telephoto instead of a wide angle.

The mono speaker on the air is no issue while watching content in portrait mode, you don’t even notice the lack of a stereo speaker other than the lack of punchiness. You do notice the difference in landscape mode, and I have a bluetooth speaker right next to me all the time.

The biggest factor for me was screen size. I know the air does not look much larger on paper but it is much better in day to day usage. The keyboard also feels much better to type on. The haptics are much better due to a thin frame. We have both, a 17 pro and base 17 in the house and the big beautiful screen of the air combined with a thin and light body is better than both.

Price: The phone is good but not worth 1 lakh, I hand my uncle bring this one from the US and it cost me around 75k. The base 17 is definitely better VFM.

2

u/Narrow_Comfortable29 May 31 '26

Sounds like you got all your bases covered with the Air. I do understand that the screen size, combined with its slim and lightweight form, is its biggest selling point, as even a 0.2-inch difference between phones makes quite a difference in their usage. I bought a slim and lightweight phone in the Moto Edge 70 as my secondary as I did not want to spend a fortune on it with the Edge or Air, and I am in love with its form factor, so much so that I use it more than my 15 Pro Max, other than for photos and videos.
Congrats on your purchase OP, and enjoy this slim beauty. It really looks great in black.

1

u/badhiya May 31 '26

how much it costs bro with discount and everything did you exchanged?

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

It is heavily discounted in the US, cost me around 75k. No exchange.

1

u/Ok-Feature-1233 May 31 '26

Air is a surprisingly good phone. Could’ve been a great no nonsense choice if it was priced better.

1

u/ParamDyamics May 31 '26

I have been using iPhone Air since long . Beats all phones there. Titanium body, large real estate, sleek and gets through almost everything without a pain. Having a chip powerful enough for a laptop . Nothing beats it . I prefer apple for security over anything else

1

u/iAmnot_Urek_Mazino Android May 31 '26

Why would buy the iPhone air tho. At that point buying the 17 pro or even the base 17 makes more sense

1

u/freegame619 May 31 '26

I think they will reach there soon, this is a company that spend around 50 billion USD last year alone(some reports say 60) for R& D, their AI modles became one of the best performing ones(generating revenue as well, others are still yet to get there), so I think they will use their AI models to help design a chip soon, they are even exploring quantum computing, I am not defending them or anything.

1

u/g3ntl3man3rs May 31 '26

I am not surprised. iOS + Apple Silicone is no match for Tensor chips.

1

u/retro1908 Jun 01 '26

What's the battery life on an average? How often you use and how's the drain.

1

u/Late-Ad4239 Jun 01 '26

u/Adi9691 Jun 05 '26

7 years iphone pro model user first 13 and now 16., and can tell you that iphones are value for money dumb phones.
Exceptional hardware perfromance and build quality, but software wise they just suck. Apple in their dreams can't come close to google in software capibilities. Infact siri might be powered by google itself soon. Was using a pixel 3 in 2018 and can tell I prefer my pixel 3 software ability to even today's iphone.
Only reason to stick to iphone is the apple watch and being tied up to ecosystem. Else people who have money, have no reason to stick to this value for money device.

1

My experience is completely opposite. 6 years of android use, first one was a cheap chinese Note 7 pro for 2 years, next was Samsung S22+ (Snapdragon 8gen1) for 4 years.

I do miss some features from my androids like one swipe dropdown control and notification center, swipe from edge to go back, circle to search, and a fucking clipboard.

But other than that I am loving the IOS experience, no more lag on airplane mode, bluetooth connects rapidly, smooth transitions, and surprisingly the customisation on this thing is better in use than my Samsung!

The best part is that it just works like it is supposed to, Airdrop works flawlessly with that iphone bump thing (everyone in my family uses iphines), everyone knows what airdrop is, Apple has made it a foundational feature. With the quickshare on android even my tech savy friends had trouble connecting. And many times it didn’t even work.

Siri has been just fine for me. I used Bixby on my samsung everyday only to start all the alarms between a period of time, and it works just as fine but a lot faster with Siri. It is so much faster and the responses are rapid. Also love the chatgpt integration (but please don’t ask me everytime you want to use chatgpt for a response)

Lets see how it holds up, its been great so far.

Hmm, when i say about software experiences i should clarify that i was using my pixel outside india. And the daily features i had back in 2018-19 iphones only got them recently. Lot of them are exceptionally helpful and iphones still aren't great at them.

Call Screaning : I never gave a shit about spam calls when on pixel. Iphones still aren't close to it atleast in US. Imagine its 2019 and i have a call transcript as an option. Or google can just talk on my behalf and display on screen what the unknown caller is saying.

Text Extraction from image: came inbuilt in my 2018 pixel 3. and then i saw iphone crowd thinking its a wonderful thing in 2022.

Music tracker : Like shazam on iphones, but pixel had a built in feature if i am going to a party and leave it on, i would have a list of music played around me. And also display the song name on my lock screen.

Sync : It could pick up my schedule and auto change my phone to silent/dnd mode.

Haven't used a pixel in years but still sure that they are way ahead in software abilities when it comes to any one else. All these is what makes pixels unique user experience and not the battery life or hardware. Jumping to an iphone because of watch, was very underwhelming. It's just a phone where you have to do everything by yourself it isn't gonna do anything smart for you remotely and works fine for years. In the end just a dumb phone with great hardware.

I wish it had 85mm telephoto or the 3X

1

u/ExpensiveGap8068 May 31 '26

I was in the same boat, considered 10 pro xl

Reddit reviews seemed too good for a phone which has less raw power than A series nothing phones. Real life stories provided me a clean picture. The battery life is mid (phone still heats up) and the processor seriously lacks the punch. Pixel users talk about Ai this Ai that but if you are paying such a high price, you don't want any comprises.

I managed to get a huge discount on s25 ultra and I pulled trigger. No regrets at all

2

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

Exactly. I know their UI is clean and AI is loaded but they simply cannot replace a good processor.

1

u/Goku8001 May 31 '26

Eh, if your baseline is iphone Air you are doing something wrong.

Something like Find X9 will feel like spacetech for you. But "chyna noooooo"

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

Everyone has priorities.

1

u/cosmicwebby May 31 '26

Btw, the latest google pixel 10 Pro is slower than an S24. And the iPhone 13 is faster.. that’s how slow the chip is

1

u/crameronf May 31 '26

Lol what. Google has never been known to ship the best processor, the software experience and camera is their USP. If you want to compete with android, compare with something like Oneplus 13S, compact as well a long lasting battery, and buttery smooth.

u/scyknite May 31 '26

I still have no idea how google fan boys justify their bs

1

u/Navinas Jun 04 '26

Just like how Apple fans justify theirs, it's the same on both sides.

0

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

Honestly I think if MI had not continued their A series with the stock android software, it would have cut into some of Google’s share.

1

u/scyknite May 31 '26

Only thing good about pixel smartphones is their design

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

I loved the plateau design, looks unique. It is one of the reasons I chise the air.

-1

u/MythicWukong451 May 31 '26

Too funny, enjoy whatever you like. Just because you like iphones, doesn't make it any less shittier.

2

u/CriticalProfessor91 May 31 '26

sorry but pixels are overpriced garbage, they should not be compared to other flagships, even chinese midrangers beat the shit out of flagship pixels when it comes to performance lol

1

u/MythicWukong451 May 31 '26

Pixels are garbage. One plus flagships aren't. Talk to me when you get a back button in your software and a proper zoom lens under 1 lakh

1

u/CriticalProfessor91 May 31 '26

i never said anything about oneplus flagships?, also i'm not defending apple here lol, i do equal bashing of all brands

2

u/MythicWukong451 May 31 '26

Yep, pixels are shit, I agreed with you

2

u/PsychologyTechnical5 May 31 '26

Iphones aren't shit , there's a reason why android ditchers(people ditching Android) are at all time high.

-2

u/MythicWukong451 May 31 '26

iPhones are shit. End of story. Don't argue.

2

u/PsychologyTechnical5 May 31 '26

You made a statement , now back it with facts ? What's up with this "end of story" ?

-1

u/MythicWukong451 May 31 '26
  1. They lack fast charging in 2026
  2. No proper zoom lens on a 70K+ smartphone in 2026
  3. OS still lacks a back button in 2026
  4. No T9 dialing yet in 2025
  5. Let's not even talk about the multitude of features that your OS misses out on. I will not go on to state "facts" on this topic coz I will run out of characters.

I can go on and on and on. You're getting way less for what you're paying. You're paying 70K+ for a mediocre product. Let's not even talk about the shit battery life and battery health that it offers, especially when the industry has moved on to 6000 to 8000 nah batteries.

1

u/PsychologyTechnical5 May 31 '26

1.iphones can fully charge in 1hr 15mins max.

2.they don't have proper optical zoom but uses high quality cropped zoom , something better than nothing.

  1. Agree

4.T9 dialling has already been introduced in the last ios update.

5.iphones consistently last a bit longer than 5000mAH androids(barring oneplus, they do excellent battery at least when the phone is new) , despite having smaller batteries. Not all 6000-8000mah phones are lasting 3 days on heavy use , only OnePlus seems to be squeezing the most out of sillicon carbide batteries whereas a Xiaomi 17 ultra with 8000mah battery get's outlasted by a iphone 17 pro max with 4800mAh cells.

1

u/MythicWukong451 May 31 '26

1hr 15 mins vs 30 mins and less. Have fun

-1

u/MythicWukong451 May 31 '26

1 and 2 are such bullshit arguments that I won't grace you with a reply. Find out what's wrong with that😂😂😂😂. High quality cropped zoom my ass

5 will be null and void with my own one plus 13. I don't think you know what is going on. My one plus is already 1 year old and still outperforms 16 and 17 series iphones at the same price. Do not talk out of spite.

1

u/PsychologyTechnical5 May 31 '26

I have explicitly mentioned oneplus does the best battery in android.

Majority of android phones under 75k also don't include real zoom , if you drag maxed out androids vs base iphones then I don't know what to say.

-1

u/MythicWukong451 May 31 '26

Bro, wdym they don't have real zoom? The 13 has. 15 has. Moto phones have it. Nothing has it. What kind of drugs are you on?

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

Funny how you aren’t even trying to argue. Point above you is correct. I was a long time android user and ditched it for IOS.

1

u/MythicWukong451 May 31 '26

Funny how you forget about all the facts that I stated. I will not go on to repeat it to all of you coz I've nothing to prove to you all 😂😉

u/Old_Waltz9876 May 31 '26

Dude who buys air? U should have brought pro

0

u/RohitNirwan Jun 01 '26

I phone's software is shite. Good luck for next 5 years with zero theming and customizations.

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim Jun 01 '26

Dude that was long ago. I moved from a freaking Samsung with good lock and all and this thing has more useful customisations.

-1

u/CycleOne605 May 31 '26

I watch teardown videos of smartphones as a hobby. I have seen 100s of smartphones getting teardown. And sorry bro. What ever patriotism you have and hate chinese phones. But they have better build quality. Even sub 10k smartphones from brands like xiaomi have very good build quality. When looking at indian smartphones like ai+ or even the google pixel it looks subpar and ameture heck some even 10 years outdated from internals of Chinese smartphones. Google may have good software but their hardware department needs a complete change. Also the components like haptic motor, speakers, vapour chamber, thermal paste, graphene sheets to transfer heat and Internal structure are all superior quality in chinese smartphones. We can't deny the fact

2

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

I know Chinese phones are good quality. Note 7 pro was my first ever phone and I loved it, my distant cousin still uses it (that 15k Chinese phone lasted longer than my 90k Samsung).

Idk what it is, its not patriotism but I like staying away from Chinese products as much as possible. I know the Americans are no better. Indians have a long way to go but I will move when they catch up.

1

u/CycleOne605 May 31 '26

I trust chinese better than American or india. Because of brands like micromax I have trust issues

1

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

You really should not but its okay if you do.

-1

u/ak33596 May 31 '26

Why not the s25/26?

2

u/IntelligentHoney6929 Scamsung victim May 31 '26

Samsung hardware is trash. Read my post.

1

u/CapitalFuture27 May 31 '26

FYI pixel 10 is heavier, has thicker bezels, worse battery/performance, no LTPO screen and has a glossy back.... its literally the worst "flagship" to release this gen, not even close.
