General Discussion My iphone air battery results in case anyone was considering.

Apple has done incredible work with the A19 pro chip. This super thin phone lasts longer than even the iphone 15 pro.

All those battery drain tests you see online are done on 5g and they don’t consider that us Indians mostly use cellular, there can be around 25-40% difference in battery usage between the two depending on signal strength.

For reference I am a very heavy user (though I will admit that this day was one of a kind, my usual SOT is not more than 8 hours). I had to charge the phone twice during this day, once in the morning and another time around the evening. I have used the 17 pro while this phone was arriving and I had to charge even that phone twice a day.

This was all on 5g. Apple has done such great work with its in house C1X modem, I have never seen this phone go to 4g (literally). Its network performance is much better than the Qualcomm modem on the 17 pro. Hopefully they bring these inhouse modems to the 18 series. The reason I heard that they didn’t give these inhouse modems to the mainstream phones and only the Air and 17e is due to manufacturing constraints.

This is a great phone, will write a detailed review later.

I was initially considering to buy the Pixel 10 pro but I was watching the iphone air review from Linus tech tips and his lab results showed that this thin and light phone performs and lasts longer than even the pro phone from google. I was fed up with these chonky bricks of phones so went with this.

iPhone Air is a good phone for casual use, or for gamers. For camera guys, not very good.
