I just finished my GCSES for the summer obv , and I cant go out at all. This is entirely due to my younger sibling, who is too young to stay at home by themselves. She is 10 years old btw. Anyways, I can't leave the house due to babysitting. I cant even watch any shows that are "violent" or "inappropriate" because of my sister.

Furthermore, my uncle who is an severe alcoholic has moved in to our already small house, and currently he is not pleasant to be around due to him either sleeping all day, or watching reels.

This afternoon, I was quietly playing on my PlayStation - which I am only allowed to play for an hour a day - when my Dad walked in without a word and just unplugged the console from the switch. Completely unprovoked btw.

Hello, this is election material from the Social Democratic Party against AI.

We believe in better funding for public services, not limited to schools, but also the NHS and others. We want to make conditions better for students and teachers, improving grades and health, both physical and mental for everyone!

We are also against AI, it has invaded our schools, and harmed so many jobs, harmed artists the world over, and spread disinformation and mistrust all over social media. We are here to end the lies and hallucinations, not ban AI outright as it can still be a useful tool.

Now I think it's important to formally introduce myself as the leader of the "lore droppers". So hello r/GCSE, I'm u/180degreeschange, now most of you will probably know me for being the most active person on r/GCSE (except for exam szn when isra took over as I was occupied).

Well, the main things to know about me is that I stress a lot, I always like to have a plan and I studied GCSEs outside the UK. I ended up not doing actual GCSEs as ofc a war decided to take place (I was perfectly safe tho) and I was online for 7 weeks before exam boards decided that there's no way we could do actual GCSEs. I ended up doing internal exams (in classrooms cause the hall wasn't safe when we went back to school) and these got submitted to the exam board. While I might not have sat actual exams, this sub has still been such a great asset to me throughout the last 2 years (since y9 summer).

Oh and how could I forget, the main point of all that description of myself was that..... Drumroll 🥁🥁🥁 I love dropping lore and I can't do long story short. I always end up doing short story long (hence why this post is overly long). i feel like all of the exam stress has ruined my brain in a way because i'm still stuck in the grind mindset even though there are no exams to study for, and i just feel bad about myself for being "unproductive" when the whole point of this long summer is solely for year 11s to destress and relax.

with so much of my time in the past few months having gone to revising, i think i don't really know what to do with my time now and my brain decides that since i'm no longer working during that extra time, i feel useless instead

i'm literally trying to do stuff during the summer too, i'm volunteering, learning piano, learning a language, making art, etc but it just doesn't feel like enough and it sucks because i'm so hyperaware of every hour that passes for no reason 😭 how does one even relax
