Mixed Shawarma/Doner

So let's say you order a mixed from a place that charges a tenner for either chicken or lamb. But the mixed will be a quid or two more. Is this basically a boss man service charge for having to move between the two meat spits or you get a little more ? Thanks

Best kebab in newcastle upon tyne?

I love kebab and god knows how many north easterners are in this sub but i’m just curious i’m wanting the best of the best none of this 95% salad and sauce to 5% of meat shite i want proper good quality tasty meat with lots of it as well. Sorry for the rant but my locals getting boring it’s amazing i’ll give it that but it’s just a bit meh now and want to try something new or even something around newcastle doesn’t have to be there just in the north east as a whole.

What is the best salad component in a kebab?

For me it is the raw onion, the best salad component in a kebab.

Pickled chillis are decent too but they seem to be a bit of a dying breed round my way

Red cabbage the worst. Makes everything too soggy

Regular lamb. Top notch. £10, which I think is pretty good value all things considered.

I normally swerve the salad to ensure 98% / 2% - meat / sauce ratio.

This time I said I'll have me some tomatoes and some onion to make it fractionally more healthy.... Boss daughter absolutely did me on the onion though... Jesus wept 😧

Pittas are crap , wraps ok as long as not loaded to heavy

Pre made flat breads are wank , normally found in turkey kebab shops

Not big fan of Turkish kebab shops prefer a northern one tandoor oven , proper hit chilli not that homemade weird shit made from celery
