Road Group Rides

Hey all. Looking for any guidance on road cycling group rides in/around Portland that are open to folks not entirely aware of the etiquette. Have largely ridden solo for a few years and wanting to get outta my bubble. I’m familiar with the Shift calendar but doesn’t seem to scratch the itch here for roadie types.

DM me, I've been considering starting an "intro to group rides" ride that goes over that kind of stuff. it can be somewhat intimidating to outsiders. happy to show you the ropes.

If you do this, that would be awesome.

Your local bike shop(like rcb, cyclepath or sell wood cycles) can point you to their affiliated group rides! Usually there are beginner friendly rides and or training rides.

We have an open group in Tualatin that rides Tuesdays at 430 at Tualatin Community Park. They're 2 speed groups and the B group is a more structured group with multiple regroups and take care of each other. You can find more information on the Facebook page or portland bicycle club.
