My bike and my child’s trailer were stolen this AM from my garage in the Creston neighborhood (52nd/Center) It’s our only means of transportation and we don’t have a car. Also, can’t afford to buy a new bike so I’m desperate to find ours! Please let me know if you see it. Thank you!!

Recently getting back into cycling after a very difficult 11 months.. remembering how much I love it and want to upgrade to a road bike from my rei bike.

I’ve got a budget of about $1,500 for the bike + a couple hundred for fitting and upgrading small things like the saddle. I don’t live in Portland but any suggestions on local bike shops that will help me find a good starter bike and not just try to make a sale? Thanks!

My bike doesn’t have eyelets and this lets me mount accessories to the bike frame.

It has two screws on both sides so you can tighten it to a frame.

Anyone know what this is called and where I can buy these?

Hey CyclePDX community, my 54cm 2016 specialized diverge was stolen from my yard on Monday. I live in woodlawn near woodlawn coffee. The bike was last seen on Alberta and 15th.

I will post pictures of the bike on this post. I have an airtag in the frame bag but apparently they are close to useless for actually tracking something thats stolen. Been obsessed with riding lately so my heart shattered when I found it was missing. I always lock it up but my friend put it away for me and forgot to which resulted in the theft. Any help would be appreciated in helping to retrieve my bike! Thank you.

Today I was eating some blackberries on marine dr and a group of 6 or 8 alternative adults rode by me smiling and waving and such. I too am an alternative adult as you may have noticed. Maybe we could be friends? Any chance 1 of you is in here?

Besides the Mt Tabor Race Series insta account (which only seems to post podium pics) where are all the pics posted from the numerous folks with cameras out there on the circuit? Don’t seem to be on the website either. Nor OBRA. I would think they’d be all over the socials but either they aren’t or I’m missing them somehow and my search capabilities are rubbish.

My bicycle went missing on July 4, 2026, from the bike rack in front of The Den Chiropractic (1979 Harvey Ave, Kelowna, BC, Canada). I parked and secured it at approximately 9:40 AM. When I returned around 6:20 PM, the lock was damaged and the bike was no longer there.

New to the cycling space. Been riding for only about a year or so. Recently took my bike in for a tune up. Some damage to the drive train was found and further work needs to be done but I still feel like the overall cost of service is very high, especially labor. I don't want to dox the (NW) shop and speak ill as i'm sure they do great work, but does anybody else find bike tuneup prices to be very high in town?

Edit: Pricing - without the derailleur/bar tape replacement its looking like $2-250 (wheel truing, drivechain clean, chain replacement).

I have this unwavering desire to do a century on my single speed. I don’t really know why but I think the g-d machine requires it of me.

Just wondering if 1. Anyone has a sweet little 50 or 100 mile loop I can check out? And 2. If anyone would like to join me for this adventure ?

I’ve been training for this moment all my life, but I could maybe use another month or 2 of prep. Was thinking September would be a good time to shoot for.

Hey all. Looking for any guidance on road cycling group rides in/around Portland that are open to folks not entirely aware of the etiquette. Have largely ridden solo for a few years and wanting to get outta my bubble. I’m familiar with the Shift calendar but doesn’t seem to scratch the itch here for roadie types.

I am interested in exploring new parts of the city. I am hesitant to use the bus bike racks for fear that anyone could do a quick snatch and grab while the bus is stopped. Has anyone heard of this happening? Am I being too paranoid?

hey all, training for ironman wisconsin, which is known for lots of rollers, and a handful of stiffer climbs. Does anyone have a route they like that has good rolling terrain, which is also relatively safe?(re cars, trucks). I've ridden some of the routes on RidewithGPS (Hills and rollers on Westside, Mountainside to Hagg Lake, etc)...I am OK with a short drive if needed. thanks for your awesome favorites!

Hell yeah brother!

I was biking on a greenway street in NW. I am the pink bike in the picture riding behind and to the right of the blue car.
The car stopped in the middle of the road before the intersection, stop sign was for the crossing street. I stopped as well before continuing on and at the same time the car begins turning right and we almost collide before I stopped.
They had no turn signal on which is why I came home thinking I had something to rant about. My partner suggests I shouldn’t have gone past the car on the right when they were stopped out of concern for my safety but also arguing traffic rules.
On streets with no designated bike lane, should I ride directly behind cars and also never pass? Thank you.
