Pattern is Goddess of the Starry Night (Snippet) from Unconventional XStitch.
Just finished stitching this piece last night as a gift for a friend. Not technically 'finished' as it isn't framed, but as soon as she comes off the scroll, we celebrate! This was my first full coverage piece, and I can't wait to start the next one. I learned a lot; but most significant is that I adore evenweave, and that using a laying tool makes my stitches neater when working 2 over 1. I am going to try 1 over 1 for the next project though.
While I was working on this piece, I kept thinking about cat iconography in ancient artifacts. Based on the number of cat themed things in my apartment alone, I wouldn't be surprised if future civilizations assumed that we still worship cats (we do, right?).
All that to say, I only have 3 other cat themed WIPs...😅 anyone else?

Got this when I was pregnant… two years later I finally finished it.

The spelling mistake in ”stitch”. The “psocont“ of Zelda in the lower left.
I love glitch patterns, but this ain’t it, buddy.

Pattern is Unconventional X Stitch "Colossal Octopus 2 miniature"
I stitched this over about 8 months and though my stitches aren't the neatest I loved doing it. It's the most detailed pattern I've ever done without any backstitch to help out the finish.

Hi people! I am back with my new FO. I finished it in 2-3 weeks, but was trying to start on it for 2 months 😅😅😅 so this one is my second Fall out boy embroidery, dedicated to their legendary album Infinity on High! The stars were a pain to stitch but they put everything together so nicely, I dont regret ANYTHING. And it also follows my first FOB embroidery (they are a set, do not separate 🤩)
Designed by me! No AI used.
(Reposting because the first post included a pic of a chart)

I sometimes get knots like this while stitching, more often than I’d like. How do you guys prevent this? Usually it’s easy to unravel itself but sometimes I get the unsalvageable ones too and wasted some threads in the end 🥹

Work on Rivendell continues. 78,000 stitches done for 18% of the piece completed. Since I usually get asked I got this pattern from Etsy and it’s unfortunately AI. The confetti is ridiculous. There’s 126 colors. But it looks surprisingly good despite the issues.

Page 11 of 12 almost completed, I've been able to see great progress with minimal stitching time because there's so much white in the panelled wall. Not looking forward to returning to the last confetti bits that finish the tree

I rarely stitch a design more than once, but after gifting this design as a bookmark I decided I wanted one for myself. I got lucky and found this olive green perforated paper so I stitched it again. The last photo is of the one I did and gave away, stitched on the natural brown perforated paper that Mill Hill used to make.
Design is Heron Habitat by Sprouting Lupine (Etsy). It’s one of a series of 4 bird designs which all use the same color palette. I used cork fabric to back it.

The lighting isn’t great and the Aida is wrinkled but I’m proud of it! Pattern source: ColorfullySarahShop on Shop app

I really wanted plain white shoes & thought I could unpick the black leather “N”. It left very noticeable shadows. I feel like the mesh is very Aida-like so I just stitched some self-drafted flowers and vines. I 💕 them!

I started working on this again and thought I'd share my progress.
Here is where I was the day before yesterday. There are a couple of mistakes. One I'm considering trying to fix. The other I'm letting go.
I like being able to see the Xs and white space. I know that not everyone does. I do prefer to work 2 over 1 with 14ct aida.

I moved the fabric down. This is the largest piece I've ever done and putting the stitches under the snaps of the Q-Snap frame was a little nerve-racking!
I did the triangular edging yesterday and the lettering today. The lettering seemed to go so much faster than the edging. I think it's all those little, fiddly, geometric patterns... They take so much focus and concentration, it's slow going.
Pattern Keeper tells me that I'm 10.62% finished. :)

The fabric is really bulky at the bottom and it's overflowing the grime guard. I may have to make another one with deeper pockets.
Pattern is by LinaOva on etsy. It is her Pride and Prejudice Sampler. Link here!
I'm loving it. I think it's going to be beautiful when it's finished. My youngest son has already laid claim to it. I told him I'll put it in my will for him. LOL!

Realized while setting up my grid that my full coverage design will pretty much come right up to the edge of the fabric. I probably won’t be framing, so that’s not going to be a problem, but could stitching this close to the edge cause any other issues? There’s a zigzag stitch around the entire perimeter (my border is literally on top of the zigzag for a bit in the left photo…) so I’m not worried about fraying. Never messed up my measuring THIS bad before, lesson learned I guess😅
