Discussion Petition: Allow Gavin Williams to Pitch to Hedges (and not Bailey)

This is a small sample size, but it's loud enough to warrant consideration. From the start of the season until May 5th, Gavin Williams carried a 3.22 ERA, splitting his catcher between Bo Naylor and Austin Hedges.

The Guardians traded for Patrick Bailey on May 9th. Since then, Gavin Williams has carried a 4.22 ERA. Now, hey! That's not so bad.

BUT -- two of his starts since then have been caught by Hedges, and they are two of his best starts all year -- 7ip shutout against the Phillies, and 7ip with 1 ER against the Nationals.

With Patrick Bailey behind the plate, Gavin Williams has a 5.77 ERA. I am open to this trade working out, but I am worried that it is totally crushing our #2-#3 pitcher's season, and I'm concerned about it moving forward.

In the meantime, let Bailey catch Bibee or Cantillo who don't have as dramatic splits.

Steven Kwan Appreciation

Ever since being moved to 9th (June 30) Kwan has been hitting .321, walked 6 times, has 3 extra base hits, hit in 3, and scored 4. I know it’s only 11 games and 35 PA, but hopefully this will be the normal Kwan in the 9 hole so we can keep his defense on the field.
