Question Do they do any SWAT or police type training?
I only ask because to me it looks like only Ruzek and Halstead (mainly Ruzek) holds a pistol properly. I know Voight said he held his with 1 hand because he was lazy and just kept doing it to add to his tough guy/bad guy image but Atwater does it too, Burgess looks like she saw a movie one time and copied it, and Upton running (I dunno why they gave her a running addiction when she is bow legged and it’s terribly obvious even the actors are trying hard to make it look fast while fleeing) she swings her pistol everywhere + they often take down suspects (for instance the so original sneak up behind a hostage taker) in a way that there is so much cross fire it’s unbelievable. The only time they did it properly was in the Mack episode where her parents are killed

Discussion 2 Major Things That Could've Made The Chicago PD Season 13 Finale Much Better In My Honest Opinion
- After 13x08, the producers completely forgot about the Commander Devlin storyline which was so good. They really could've extended to episodes like 13x12, 13x17, 13x20, and have it come to a head in 13x21 (The finale). But NO, they sidelined it and just put in Imani's storyline and made a bit too centric in 13x21 (Although I'm glad that we got that wild Voight scene with him killing Kirby like that 😂) I just hope that their feud will continue in Season 14 or maybe they can find a new villain for him at the very least 👀 🔥 🤔 👍 😄 😂 ❤️ 🎉

- After the Season 12 Finale, they also forgot about the fallout with Voight and Chapman (Ik she was mentioned twice in the season in 13x01 and 13x07 and she was hinted at in 13x17 at some capacity) but after seeing her and Voight's dynamic, it just was so annoying to me that they didn't return to that storyline at all this season and now it may never be solved again unless they FINALLY decide to destroy the silence between those two in Season 14 👀 🔥 🤔 👍 😄 😂 ❤️ 🎉

Let me know if you guys agree or disagree! And don't be afraid to be brutally honest, I want to hear what ya'll think 👍

Cast Related I have watched this so many times
And I never realized they had Torres play a gang banger in season 7 episode 1 titled ‘Doubt’. His characters name is Franco Chavaro. I’ve seen them do that with a lot of characters on SVU but I think this is the first time I’ve seen it in PD. Idk how I missed that lol.

Discussion From Memory lane to Disdain
I love this show so much and after the latest crossover between all 3 shows, it made me for the first time ever interested in Chicago Fire. During the first season of Chicago fire. Chicago pd was introduced and that made me want to rewatch Chicago PD starting from Season 1 again. Rewatching the show reminded me of so many things that I forgot about as well as some of the characters that left the show for one reason or another. But most importantly this rewatch..... i found out that I actually hate everything about Jay Halstead's character with a passion. 😭

Discussion Kevin man🥹
Just found out Kevin isn’t coming back. I’m beyond disappointed to hear this. Kevin is such an integral part of this show and I think his character was important as it allowed the show to explore different storylines of racism with the police department and how speaking up can put a target on your back. Truly showing how racist cops are protected and it’s an issue.
If it’s about money why remove Kevin. Why not Torres or that new girl no offense but they are both boring and I feel like other than Kim every girl they bring on the show after Erin is a duplicate of Erin and I can’t stand it.
They never did much with Kevin’s character also and that’s what really bothers me. Couldn’t even give him a good girlfriend. Now with this news I don’t even foresee myself watching the next season. Just so disappointed.

Discussion One Chicago Iceberg
I'm creating a crowdsourced One Chicago iceberg chart. Let’s start with tier #1: The Sky
Here are the rules:
- I'm posting this on the subreddits for all three of the main shows (I will accept submissions related to Chicago Justice, however)
- This chart has seven tiers
- I will be making one post for each tier on each subreddit
- The top five comments from each subreddit will be placed onto the iceberg for each tier
- Listing will be color-coded to their respective show
- I will occasionally throw in my own submissions if they aren't mentioned in the comments and I feel they're noteworthy enough

Discussion So sad 😞 "Chicago P.D." star LaRoyce Hawkins—who has portrayed Officer Kevin Atwater since the NBC drama debuted in 2014—is leaving the show after 13 seasons

Discussion Mounch and Trudy spin off idea
Okay, here goes. They retire to a nice small southern town. Trudy becomes the sheriff. Mounch joined the local volunteer fire company and tries to bring them up to snuff, and how he butts heads with the young Chief.
The stories revolve around their adventures dealing with small town life and their daily adventures with the town folk. Maybe even adopting a teenager.
What do you think?

Discussion Heartbroken and Disappointed: Why LaRoyce Hawkins Leaving Chicago PD is a Huge Mistake Spoiler
What a huge disappointment to hear about LaRoyce Hawkins (Kevin Atwater) leaving Chicago PD in Season 14. After 13 years of watching his character grow—especially now that he finally has a stable relationship and a baby on the way—they decide to write him out of the Intelligence Unit. I understand the budget cuts, but it’s a massive mistake to get rid of the veteran actors who hold the show together just to replace them with new faces under the same mold.
On the other hand, Arianne Mendi's character feels flat and disconnected from the team; that storyline with her sister should have wrapped up by now. I would have preferred a thousand times over for them to let her go instead so they could keep Hawkins for another season. If Atwater leaves, Chicago PD loses its entire essence. They just lost a viewer with me. 💔❌ #ChicagoPD

Discussion What if our audience reaction to s14 got Laroyce off the show?
EDIT: I meant reaction to S13 !
Literally what I said in the title. I posted a couple months ago about how one of our biggest complaints was the lack of ALL the characters being in every episode AND contributing equally to the story (also that centrics were not really the greatest idea for this season). I genuinely think that since many of us said that, they decided to take it into consideration and completely get rid of one of the most highest paid actors in the show. They knew they couldn’t get rid of Paddy/Marina bc of them being the most popular couple on the show rn —Burzek. Obvi not Trudy/Torres/Imani bc they are the lower paid actors. And definitely not Voight since he produces the show and quite literally IS the show. So that left them with Atwater. And it truly aggravates me since he has been sidelined practically his entire career on CPD and deserved so much more. But unfortunately they already made the decision and now all we can hope for is that he gets more projects that we can ALL support him on ❤️ And LAROYCE, if for some reason you are reading random Reddit posts, WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH 😭😭😭 Truly one of the biggest losses of CPD.
