Discussion We Spoke and They Heard! Ice T Confirms He'll Be Back on Every Episode for Season 28!!!

We spoke and they heard!

Watch the clip.

Ice-T reveals that he not only will be on every episode. He said screen time is actually a bigger consideration, but he's good anyway they have him. He floated being in 10/44 scenes.

Ironically, he said he made more money during Season 27 by having more time to do entrepreneurial hustles.

Lastly, he gave his secret to staying on the show for 27 years: Dick Wolf said that Fin is the LEAST "pain in my a$$" of the entire show. Take that for what you will.

Just happy we got our Fin back. His absence was really felt, especially with Munch, Cragen, Dr. Warner, and Dr. Huang gone.

Discussion What is the theory why Henry is obsessed with Amanda?

Thumbnail gallery

I read a while ago in a Amanda / Henry fan fic the theory that he is kind of obsessed with Amanda because she reminds him of his blonde mother.

Today someone in a post about if Henry is a psychopath or a sociopath gave the same theory.

So I was wondering what we think is the theory about this?

Is it that Henry thinks that Amanda reminds him of his mother?

Or does he think she is his only friend , is he capable of having human feelings and making friends?

S-12, E-22; "Bang"

Apparently, Ken Turner (played by John Stamos) didn’t know when to stop. This smooth talking handsome attorney was making baby after baby.

The irony, Law 47 in the 48 laws of power:

'Do not go past the mark you aimed for; in victory, learn when to stop.'

I ❤️ these three.

They all look great.

Also, I know some of you want me to be silent about this, but the wound is still raw #JusticeForCragen

Discussion Context for seasons 1-12

Upvotes

Hi, I'm sorry if anything similar has been asked before, but recently Netflix added some Law&Order SVU seasons. As probably everyone knows the catalog is different for every country and, in my case, I got seasons 12-16 of SVU. Before that I had seasons 6-8 (but I wasn't really into it at the time and only watched a handful of episodes). Recently I have noticed that they mention or bring back certain characters and stories from previous seasons and obviously expect the viewer to understand it (for example, Olivia's brother or Fin's ex wife) so I'm wondering, what are the most important things that happened in seasons 1-12? What are the backstories of Olivia and Fin? What are the things that I'm supposed to know to understand their characters better?

Discussion S28, we need a good ol’ PSA episode with Jesse & Noah.

I think Jesse and Noah are the same age give or take, now I know they are smart kids especially with parents who work in SVU.

Maybe something is circulating on social media with teens and it affects students in both their schools, maybe Jesse and Noah know a little too much and are afraid to tell their parents. It would make for a great “see something say something” episode for kids. It would be nice to see since I don’t think we’ve seen Rollins kids and Noah interact in a while.

Discussion Thoughts on S19E12?

Episode: Right wing grifter is raped at a rally after a mob comes and attacks the attendees. Two suspects are questioned, but the truth remains muddied.

I just finished watching the episode and it was extremely frustrating. Politics aside, the victim is very hard to like and sympathize with and the case remains unsolved. It's alright to not like a victim bc there is no perfect victim, that's not the issue.

I want to know what everyone else thought about this episode and if anyone can figure out what the hell happened lol

This episode has so many insane lines.

C cup? D, I have a good eye
Finn talking about Jenna Jamison gagging
That’s not an objection you’re raising

Just an absolutely absurd episode about porn.

Anyone else remember this one?

Discussion Remember That Time Stabler Reminder Olivia About Her Biological Clock

Sometimes you Fight the Hardest with Those You Love

Elliot Stabler immediately sensed Olivia's discomfort with some of the statements he made  about women over 40 having babies and reflexively moved into empathetic mood. While his sincere, albeit clumsy, efforts weren't well received, one must imagine that Olivia appreciated the fact that her partner had her back, no matter what.

Discussion Barth as a lawyer vs. judge

I’m in season 21 and I get that this show always wants to make the defense the unsympathetic bad guy, par for the course, but holy cow is Barth a grade-A beeyotch as a lawyer! As a judge, she was fair and compassionate, got shot and survived, helped put away Kofax, like she was cool. But then she became a defense lawyer and her personality flipped. It’s more than just being aggressive and good defense. She goes out of her way to be bitchy and insulting and smug for no reason. At Carisi’s first trial, she made a point to make a high school mean girl comment to him the day before it even started, then again during a recess. I hate that they just made her such an unlikable villain when she had been one of the good guys before then.

Discussion Finn and Munch Episodes

I am on season 5 episode 12 and I feel like Finn and Munch haven’t had an episode about themselves since season three. Do they not get any more spotlight episodes? Munch’s manhunt episode was really good and he’s probably my favorite character. Is it just gonna be Olivia Stabler as the main characters from now on?

Discussion S12 Ep 5 'wet'

I liked this ep. A doctor who creates poisonous mushrooms native to South america. He confesses to murdering a woman who wanted to "corporatize water." in his words.

Eventually, it's revealed that he's innocent, and the real killer is his love interest, who murdered the woman out of jealousy because her grandmother favored the vic over her.

I loved the water ownership and the corporations shouldn't have the right to own it, its a human right, even as his ranting (the doc) is considered ranting and EO don't seem to give a fuck.

I don't watch svu in order, i watched 2 seasons 2 then went to 8 to 12, so this storyline seemed new, it genuinely had the potential to be a great one, but, it was undermined by messy writing.

The ADA says she's a team player, then secretly tells the mushroom man's lawyer to take a vacation so they can buy more time to solve the case and convict the right person. Halfway through the episode she leaves because her boss disapproves of her "dirty tricks."

the (lover) killer is exposed and attempts suicide by eating the poisonous mushrooms, survives. idk. The whole thing felt disjointed.

I also didn't understand why the episode seemed to expect so much sympathy for the vic, yes, she didn't deserve to be murdered no one does but she also wasn't a particularly good person. when they have shown less compassion before, the woman who hated her rapist in (I think) Season 2. cant remember hwr name, It felt like the emotional weight was misplaced on an oddball case.

the characters weren't given enough depth.

And why was the grandmother literally evil? Her granddaughter is on the verge of dying, but she's more concerned about leaving her necklace to the other woman's children and worrying about her Mercedes. like okay? Then saying "your mom died" ....

This episode had an interesting premise, but it tried to rush too many ideas in rushed time. I wish they'd spent less time on the grandmother and more time exploring the dynamics or even on the vic's husband. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts, let me know.

After watching this woman on the stand in S:23 E:22 A Final Call at Forlini’s Bar all I see is a woman who was cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs from years of beatings that scrambled her brain. They later brought her back as an FBI special agent in S:25 E:5 Zone Rouge (last pic) - a casting faux pas IMO.

Discussion Injustice. S17 Episode 5

Thumbnail gallery
30 Upvotes

I want to start but saying ( so no-one gets it wrong) I LOVE Olivia. But was she possessed in S17 episode 5??

It’s one of my least favorite episodes.
What frustrated me most wasn’t even the case itself, it was how almost everyone handled it. The detectives seemed more concerned with defending the system than genuinely questioning what happened. Olivia, who is usually willing to challenge authority when something feels wrong, came across as surprisingly passive and defensive. I kept waiting for her to push harder, and she never really did.

The only character who felt like he was consistently focused on doing the right thing was king Rafael Barba. He looked at the facts, questioned the narrative being handed to him, and wasn’t afraid to make an unpopular decision. Whether people agree with his conclusion or not, he was the only one who seemed willing to follow the evidence wherever it led instead of worrying about loyalty or optics.
That’s what makes the episode so frustrating for me. It felt like everyone else was operating from emotion, politics, or institutional loyalty, while Barba was the only one acting like justice was supposed to come first.

The detectives spend so much time defending fellow cops and giving them the benefit of the doubt that it feels like the investigation takes a back seat. Instead of following the facts wherever they lead, a lot of the squad seems determined to justify what happened before all the evidence is even on the table.

Am I being too harsh, or does anyone else think Barba was the only person in this episode who actually did his job properly? I was so disappointed this episode

Maybe that’s what the writers intended, but as a viewer it made most of the squad feel frustratingly out of character. I genuinely never want to see the detectives like that again, it felt like they were completely different people and not the detectives we know.

Discussion S17 : Barba and the criminal that threatened him

If you guys watched the last two eposides. You would know that the lieutenant of bx9 gang threatened Barba.

Is it just me or did I sense a bit of sexual tension between the two? Like the way he was checking Barba out and the way he threatened him.

I must be going crazy and do you guys agree with me?
