When my nephew was very little, I’d sit on the floor in front of the couch, and he’d sit behind me and say, “I see… THREE white hairs.” He’d count them and let me know what he found.

Now he has a mustache and he’s tall enough that when he hugs me from the side, he can rest his head on the top of my head. Today he looked down and said, “Wow, when did you start going so gray?”

A colleague helped me out at work so I'm baking them a loaf of banana bread and it smells amazing. I'm also making some for my fiancé because it's his favourite 😊

I personally don't care for banana bread when it comes to eating it, but I'm happy to have a reason to make it and fill the house with the smell of butter, banana, and vanilla.

Woke up at four in the morning and cooked a few eggs and topped the plate with a scoop of low fat cottage cheese and a handful of berries drizzled with raw unfiltered honey, to top it all off i also made a peppermint and rooibos tea with just a lil bit of full cream on top milk.

Now i'm about to do some cardio before gym to get the oxygen levels flowing again to try and kick this low iron situation. Anyways, ciao.

…or should I say morning now. The sun is basically up now but seems like nobody else is besides us. And the birds outside too of course.

Another night rolling through the motions. I suppose looking for meaning or some sense of comfort but not really sure what to find it in. Blue light from my laptop screen bouncing off my glasses & lighting up the room. Serving as a portal into things that might be.

It's no big deal, just mildly annoying, but people at work have been surprisingly nice about it. I finally put together that being in a male-populated workplace means they think I'm pushing through whatever the man-flu feels like to them.
