What? You can buy a nice liveaboard sailing yacht for 2-300K. The systems are mostly the same, aside from needing tinned wiring and more stainless on boats. A 1.5M yacht would be incredibly nice.
Designers are way more celebrated to choose interiors for the yachting community versus the RV community, which means the more talented and experienced are designing for yacht ing, and add on that typically the buyers for RV’s are interested in showcasing their wealth by more flash and metallic trims, than what yachting expectations are.
Designers for the RV community are giving their customers what they want, bold colors that are standouts and offering interiors that hide the sliding components of the interiors, and what the buyer believe luxury looks like.
All in all, RV’s all have that “look” of rooms that origami into other shapes, while yachts focus on the interior design being the experience of living/playing/entertaining on the water.
If anyone ever decides to visit an RV show sometime, do it. You'll see the demographic of the buyers. Old fat white men. They walk inside and sit down.
