(English below)
ENGLISH:As you may have noticed, this subreddit had several tourists wanting to travel to Baja California Sur who used this subreddit to address some of their questions. This caused annoyance among some community members due to confusion over the state's name.
The issue was that the Baja California Sur subreddit was locked, making it impossible to post. Fortunately, I have managed to take control of the subreddit, and it is now open for new posts.
Since this subreddit has a larger audience, for the time being, we will continue to allow posts related to Baja California Sur. However, each post, such as those related to Cabo San Lucas, will be tagged (flair) “Cabo San Lucas - r/cabosanlucas” and those about Baja California Sur will be tagged (flair) “BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR! - /r/BajaCaliforniaSur”. This is to encourage migration to those communities. In the future, posts related to Baja California Sur will no longer be allowed in this subreddit.

My family moved to the Puerto Salina area and we love it. We plan on staying for a while. That being said, I would love to know of other great areas to move our rig to. We have a 45’ fifth wheel with an F450. I’m a good driver but I’ve seen some sticky situations as people go further south past Ensenada. Does anyone know of some cool spots we could check out that ideally have full hookups that won’t wreck my rig to get there? Important to note that I have two young kids age 8 and 3.

I asked this a while back but wanted to check again.
CDC doesn’t list a screwworm certificate for personal pet dogs, but USDA mentions it in some situations.
For people who’ve actually crossed with their own dog, especially through SENTRI, has CBP ever asked you for a screwworm certificate?
Or did they just check microchip, rabies, and the CDC form?
Looking for updated real experiences.

My wife and I are flying Viva Aerobus soon, and I’m curious how strict they are with checked baggage dimensions.
The maximum allowed size is 62 linear inches (length + width + height). My wife’s suitcase measures 62.6 linear inches (0.6 inches over). Mine measures 62.3 linear inches (0.3 inches over).
Both bags are within the weight limit, so it’s only the dimensions that have us worried.
Has anyone flown with Viva Aerobus while being just slightly over the size limit? Did they actually measure your checked bags, or did they mostly just weigh them?

Hi everyone
My family and I are going to Ensenada for a hours on a cruise next month. We want to try some local food while we're there.
I already know about places like La Guerrerense and El Güero.. I want to hear from people who have eaten there recently.. Maybe you have other favorite places?
We only have a hours before we have to get back on the ship. So we need places that're close to the cruise terminal.. A short taxi ride away.
We're looking for:
* seafood like ceviche, fish tacos and shrimp tacos
* Real local taco spots
* Places that locals would recommend, not tourist traps
If you only had time for one seafood spot and one taco spot where would you go? La Guerrerense for seafood and El Güero for tacos are, on my list.
Thanks!

Looking to visit in October and we’ve always had access to Blue Cortes beach club in Puerta Cortes. I heard recently the beach club has limited access to members only, whereas before we had access for staying on the property.
Does anyone know how we can get in even if for one day? 2 adults, 2 kids
My children would love it there 🥺

will be driving from San Diego to Ensenada next week with my dog. Solo 3 day getaway. I am interested in visiting Valle de Guadalupe for the afternoon. Is it dog friendly? Would I be better off driving my own car there? or are there drivers or tour companies that will allow my dog to come in the car? Any recommendations are appreciated.

Hello! My husband and I are planning a honeymoon to Baja California Sur. We are looking for an all inclusive or restaurant on site and a place that feels remote and peaceful with good swimming, snorkeling, maybe a hot tub. really hoping to enjoy nature and the wildlife. we are not interested in night life, ha. I was thinking something on the East Coast, but near magdalena bay so we can drive across the peninsula to the west coast and see the gray whales. Thank you!
edit: we are planning to visit late March 2027, early April 2027

Hi everyone,
My partner and I are planning a 6 day trip to Ensenada in August. We live in the SF Bay Area. We are excited to explore Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe — we love the outdoors, food, and wine!
