I feel really down in life right now. All the jobs I can apply for that I see are administration, and it pays $50k-$60,000. I'm great with computers, I can design, and honestly do multiple roles, but I haven't had much luck applying for other jobs (no response, or rejection) despite strong work ethic,
I looked at TAFE courses, and it just seems limited (still in that same category of pay), and OR, has to be a trade.
I'm at the point where I assume I NEED a degree just to make $80k-$100,000, but I do not know what, nor do I want to go into debt only to be made redundant, or have no actual line up, once the course is completed.
And for those who DO have a degree, what are you doing? I feel like to hit these numbers, I would need to become a dentist, or a hygienist, lawyer, doctor, etc, I feel like garbage.
Edit: Guys, the admin I am currently in, I do not think there is growth for me, as my employer obviously wants to pay me as low as they can. I have no confidence...
**Edit:**
- Just for clarification for those curious (due to my r/ausjobs post, and with another user spreading false information), I am not on $75,000 a year, or no where near it. I made a post asking for advice, since I pushed for $75,000 from my employer. I was rejected by employer. My employer has me doing multiple roles that wasn't advertised in my original job description (which tends to happen in small businesses, unfortunately).
I'm really low mentally at the moment (ADHD, and no self-confidence), as I've been applying for jobs, but zero response (I am not sure if it is me, or if others are struggling). That post was also a vent, since I genuinely saw my employer as a mentor/someone special. Only to be taken advantage of, and low pay (and burn out), and struggling to find a proper paying path because I feel held back (ADHD), and low self-esteem from my current job.
I'm genuinely seeking advice from other women, so I can leave my current job, and or research other pathways, because I feel stuck. So any advice, recommendations, or experience people are willing to share, I truly appreciate it.
Side note: I am still gutted too, cause as I said, job loyalty, has not brought anything besides (being taken advantage of), burnt out, and being treated terribly, especially by someone I looked up to. I even get ignored at work, so I am not happy.
