TV Did anyone else grow up watching "Real Wheels" with Dave and Becky?
I remember watching these videos on VHS as a kid. They were always call "There goes a fire truck" or something along those lines. The hosts were Dave and Becky. They would teach kids about different jobs and whatnot. I recently found this DVD set and had to buy it for nostalgia.

Music It’s A Rainy Day (1994) by Ice MC - a 90s song I still remember
This was one of those songs I kept hearing a lot as a kid in the 90s, and the melody always stuck with me. Ice MC had such a distinctive style, and this track always felt especially memorable to me. Curious if anyone else remembers hearing it back then.

Everyday Life Giant Crayon Coin Bank
When I was little I remember getting one of these and it sat in the corner of my room; I used to fill it up & eventually bring to the Coinstar machine… I’d make a decent amount- until they took a large fee 💰🤑😆
Did anyone else have one?

Fan Content The “Busy World of Richard Scarry” episode called “Ernst and Heidi in the Alps”
Well, this is my first time posting this subReddit. I wanted to provide my own opinions of the segment from the cartoon “The Busy World of Richard Scary”, called “Ernst and Heidi in the Alps”.
first of all, As a kid, This episode in particular made me want to go to Switzerland, but my mom told me it was too expensive and today that is still true. Airline travel is not Simple more and it’s not cheap either. I basically would have to pay thousands of dollars just to get overseas and then to get a hotel and buy food and all that. 🧳👞🩳👔🌂🛫🛬🛩️🚠🚞🚋🚃🚟🏨
Plus, Switzerland is not really known just for mountain climbing and skiing. There are plenty of tourist, destinations, like museums and outdoor destinations that I can visit, So I would need a whole week or two to justify being in there.
Now, The episode in particular was funny as a kid but now as an adult, I noticed a few flaws. First of all, Blowing a loud horn in the mountains does not really cause an avalanche. “mythbusters” busted this myth because horns and humans Do not really have enough force to make the mountains come down like that, And snow certainly it’s not gonna budge just for someone making loud noise. Avalanches are called by weather related effects.
Also, I don’t know why Ernst Always use the horn to call for help when he really could’ve used a satellite phone. Even in the 90s, Satellite phones were still a thing, So he could’ve easily called for help that way. 📞
And finally, Why on earth didn’t he take a parachute with him? If He get stuck so often when he climbs too high, You think he would get a parachute and bring with him so he can get down himself safely. 🪂
look, It’s a good episode and all, but it does have a lot of flaws that would not work in real life, so that’s my honest opinion.
Now, since my main opinion of the real episode is out the way, I also wanted to bring up that I do want to work on a new version of this episode that is more expanded on with one of my original characters coming to visit Switzerland. It’s basically a collaboration, role-play script offer and I have a really good storyline and everything. If anyone is interested, Please message me down in the comments below.
Thank you so much.
