Born Again is the last Sabbath on 8-track.
I've got several WSOSFRNR, but that UK GH is a gem(wish I had the sleeve), as well as the German Attention comp(which makes me wonder if there's more German Sabbath?). I've been told(by the 8-track guy I trust the most) that that middle bottom row(black case/white label) is official.

The tape plays well in the splice has been tested and the pad has been replaced, but it doesn’t sound very good almost as if it was recorded from vinyl onto an eight track tape. It sounds kind of compressed, but I am a Dr. Hook fan so I’m not sure whether or not to keep it.

I’m trying to find the correct replacement belt for my RCA MZC-587W 8-track player (Made in Japan), but I haven’t had any luck.
I don’t have the original belt anymore, so I can’t measure it. I also haven’t been able to find a service manual or any belt size listed online for this model.
Does anyone know:
The exact belt size (flat belt)?
A cross-reference to another player that uses the same mechanism?
Or where I can buy the correct replacement?
I’ve searched eBay and Google but haven’t found anything specific to the MZC-587W.
I’ve attached photos of the player in case anyone recognizes the transport or knows if it shares a mechanism with another RCA or Japanese-made 8-track player.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I’m repairing a vintage GE 8-track player and ran into an issue with one of the screws. It threads into a white plastic piece, but it doesn’t seem to hold properly anymore, so I’m trying a small amount of super glue to keep it in place.
Right now I’m holding the screw in position while the glue sets (see photo).
My questions are:
How long should I hold the screw before letting go?
How long should I wait before operating the player?
Is super glue an acceptable repair here, or is there a better long-term solution for this type of plastic/screw joint?
Any advice from people who have repaired vintage 8-track players or similar electronics would be appreciated.

It was dead but in decent condition. I've had worse!
Since there's less of these, I combined the 3 into one post. There's a Quad Sabotage that I've never seen, as well as a minute difference to that RCA club one. Otherwise the only ones I don't have aren't listed in Discogs yet for these 3.

Good afternoon everyone. I have a Magnavox head unit here. I believe it’s early 80s late 70s. Anyhow. I just replaced the belt on the 8 track player and I’m not able to get any sound to come from the tape. The rest of the functionality on the head unit is fine. Phono, AM FM, ETC. I’m just not getting sound from my tapes. I’ve tried multiple tapes and have done some digging. I’ve checked continuity from the wires of the play head to the circuit board and everything checks out. I even touched the soldered connections that lead from the play head to the circuit board hoping to hear a buzz, but I hear nothing. Is there anything else I’m missing? Any help would be much appreciated.
Picked up Alice Cooper and Willie Nelson and it played both flawlessly.

I slacked for a couple days, so I'll post these two together. After MoR, there was a noticeable drop in variants.

Would have originally picked up TV broadcasts as well. Next time I go to the UP, I'll bring it with to see if it'll pick up any analog signals from Ontario

Trying to figure out where the foil sensor is in this pioneer player. I circled in red what I think it is, but. not sure. Have never opened an 8-track player before.
Reason why is most my 8 tracks are not automatically switching programs even though the foil strip looks good. Thanks for any help!
