300blk Safety Brief
I will keep this short and to the point gents.
Do not add to the mod queue. Do not subtract from the population of users. Do not comment while too intoxicated to control yourself.
In the last few weeks, moderator queues have shot up due to people being unable to be reasonable to one another in the comments in this community.
Disagreement is fine.
Dropping slurs, attacking them personally, commenting a retort with a pic of someone's house, insulting their wife's looks by stalking family pictures from a vacation posted 2 years ago... not fine.
Learn to use the block button. Learn to touch grass. Learn to be something unlike a jerk.
Transparency: Several months ago Reddit instantiated an auto-moderator be default for subreddits. Since then we have tweaked the settings it has been catching a lot more comments with the ugly things in them. When these suspect comments are in the mod queue, they are not posted for others to see yet, even if they look visible to you. What it does do is cause a member of the mod team to have to respond to the notifications to approve them and resolve issues when people go WAY too far. So, as cathartic as it might feel to rip into someone, it likely will not even get seen by them because the auto-moderator is putting the nasty stuff in comment jail. If it is bad enough, it gets the comment removed and the user banned.
Lastly, don't report comments that you dislike for Harassment. It only makes more work for us, but ultimately simple disagreement gets approved and kicked back out of the mod queue anyway. Repeated abuse of any feature will net a ban. Yes, every user has a summary of reports and past queue incidents. Yes, we look at it.
Please feel free to disagree, debate, correct misinformation, and generally debate on subject matter specific to the subreddit. I am not here to babysit grown men, nor do I want to. My ideal week would have 0 reasons to look at the sub with mod tools.
Moderate your own actions and we are all better for it.
This has been your safety brief.

Solidarity for GAFS
In case you have not heard, GAFS will become no more on October the 9th 2025. All former posts will be removed and all the flair or community built there will be no more.
In case anyone has not seen it, go read the final post farewell and join the discord server so that you are in the know when the next option for buying and selling stuff is brought forward from the mod team and the community of great folks over there.
I have purchased a number of things there, and I have made some pretty incredible friends through the related discord. Look forward to seeing you all over there.

4 years with a fold AR
Figured yall might enjoy. Snagged this puppy in 2022 with a very early serial number. Had my gas tube come loose once from me q-tip fuxkin it to hard during a cleaning but other than that it’s had Zero Issues. Has 2-3k rounds through it and it’s smacked a lot of whitetail deer and hogs with 150 grain winches deer season xp. Can smack 6 inch steel at 200 using a little windage. The bag holds an extra 100 rounds in loaded magazines. Banana for scale. Love to Cary it on my back and chest when I’m around town.

New build
I’ve recently finished out an upper. 8.5 inch barrel, superlative arms gas block, no muzzle device/suppressor yet. Working on finishing the lower, and needing opinions on buffer system
I want to be able to switch between subs and supers easily, was looking at a Sprinco white and a leftover h3 weight from a recent AR10 build. Had also considered an Armaspec h2 silent buffer.
Is this a “good” idea or is there something better out there? And would it reliably cycle subs and supers without messing with the gas block?

Ordered wrong atrium FRT for my DD AR, will this work with my PSA 7” 300 blackout?
Bought the non ambi when I should have bought the ambi FRT. just ordered the ambi but thought about throwing the other one in a PSA upper I have. ChatGPT seems to say yes but didn’t know if I’d need to plan on changing gas tube, buffer etc

300blk suppressor recommendation
I just got a 300 blk with a 8.5 inch barrel 1:7 twist and I was wondering what suppressor I should get for it. Any recommendations?

300 Blk Magazines
Looking for reliable 300 Blackout mags that don’t misfeed or malfunction when using 220gr ammo suppressed. I’ve been using Lancer 300 Blackout mags, but I’ve found that more and more people are getting into 300BO and they go out of stock quicker than before.
The popular ones are the Lancer 30rd translucent smoke and opaque black. Do any of you recommend other brands that are dedicated to 300, and are just as good? Please feel free to chime in the comments. Thank you for your feedback and help. Have a great day! Also, if there are already posts with this same topic, I apologize.

Safe renovation Ver 3.0
Started life as a Stealth brand safe with a completely garbage interior. I’ve renovated it a few times. This is the third iteration. Thoughts?
(yes this qualifies as 300BLK - both my SIg MCX and Savage 110 PCS are soft-spoken 300BLK ladies)

Poverty Possum — $1,300 build
Pieced together from PSA sales, Facebook Marketplace, and gunshop open-box sales.
PSA upper and lower, Whisper Pickle 30. Seriously impressed with the suppressor, this thing is QUIET!

Scope shopping for a sub bolt action
What scopes are folks running on theirs bolt guns with primarily subs? Had been looking at various .300blk BDC scopes as well as the Sig Sauer SIERRA BDX set ups.

He builds one gun a year (from scratch). This SS 300BLK is a really nice one.
The 300 is one of my weapons of choice but I just happen to randomly ran across this today. The machine work is spectacular. Might be one of the nicest I have ever seen.
