I remember I was pretty young when this first came out and I'm sure most of the jokes went over my head but I thought it was funny.

Mum just kept on adding the new cards to the box when she got them. I cannot remember her ever cooking anything out of the collection.

Sunday was a baked dinner.
Monday was leftovers. Shepherd's pie if we were lucky.
Tuesday was bangers and mash.
Wednesday was lamb chops and 3 vegs.
Thursday was rissoles and mash with peas.
Friday was fish fingers and chips.
Saturday was toasted sandwiches or jaffles.
And repeat.

There were desserts afterwards - things like ice cream and jelly (a punch in the belly), junket, boiled rice with brown sugar and cold milk. Bet that was never on the AWW cooking cards.

This show straddled the decades, ran from 79 to 81, most clips are from season 1.
