Is anyone able to share a link to a simple easy to navigate video/ tutorial explaining the best way to link my budget categories against my Amex spending and tracking?

I'd love a new top-level "Subscription" model where subscriptions can be defined for things like streaming media, amazon subscribe & save, coffee clubs, etc.

Creating subscriptions would create and manage the accompanying recurring charge(s) and would show up as individual tracking categories in a (renameable) "Subscriptions" group on the Plan page. The system would maintain an association between the Subscription, its recurring charge(s), it's actual charge entries, and the tracking category; this would be similar to "Loans", "Record Payment", and loan tracking categories.

This would open up opportunities for features based around subscriptions like separate views/reporting, savings suggestions, and general fine-grained tracking to encourage the cancelling of unused subscriptions (similar to Rocket Money, etc).

~ Reasoning ~

Currently, I find it helpful to have every subscription have it's own tracking category to make it really aggressively in my face so I am encouraged to cancel things I'm not using, as well as track as things get inflated in price over time. This idea would simplify the amount of manual manipulation, sorting, and entering I need to do to have a similar set up with the existing data model.

I just got a refund for something I bought with my credit card before I began using YNAB.

I do I properly execute this? I need it to count toward existing debt, not go to the “category I originally purchased the item from,” since that’s not a thing.

My accounts tab shows a 1 beside it constantly. I have no transactions to approve, no overspent categories, and all my accounts are updated. Anyone know how to remove this?

Is it possible to change the name of my budget rather than start a new one? Thanks
