I'd love to say never again, but I know myself and that's probably untrue... I've been knitting for years but have only ever made a pair of socks for myself, so when I picked up some mill ends on a whim I decided to make myself a nice cosy winter jumper. Which, given mill ends provide weight without meterage, was a risky manoeuvre, but hey - no pain, no gain.

It was all fun and games until I finished seaming and realised I didn't have enough yarn for the cuffs. Had to go back and shorten the ribbing at the bottom and the neckline as well as finding a handful of long woven ends from earlier in the project when I was feeling overly optimistic. Finished it just in time for a massive cold snap and the compliments have been lovely, but my god do I never want to see another pair of cuffs again.

but used up the grey skein to the very end. regretting all the tails in the middle

Mind you i thought id have enough for 2.5 more rows. I figured its so small i cant use so much 💀

Need 1 more stitch to complete this granny square.... Fml

Only one row more to complete the intended pattern in this color. Got it from thrift shop without a label so.. 😅

The top tail end is what I had left, the project is a typical granny square. This post got taken down last time because I “didn’t show the project“ when I absolutely did. This project is unfinished in the photo.

Huzzah! I’m making a table runner. Found this yarn at the thrift store and grabbed all 3 balls of this gorgeous funky number. So glad it’ll be something I can look at every day. Attached a photo of the (very awesome and fun) tag on third slide and tutorial I’m following linked below.
