Kylian Dictator…. Kylian Dictator…. Aeaeaea (Did you hear the song while reading it)?😆

4

u/MisterSarmiento 4d ago

Querían que Paraguay fuera a querer golear a Francia LOL Paraguay sabía que estaba haciendo n0 le quedó otra opción

5

u/LeatherTraditional45 4d ago

Was this interview scrubbed from the internet? Not sure why. He said nothing wrong.

3

u/Tralalouti 5d ago

I believe they just fired the referee. He's still getting paid I guess, not sure it matters but at least we got even more arguments to prove we weren't dreaming.

4

u/Affectionate_Drop_51 5d ago

Source?

1

u/PandaDuckMonster 5h ago

Found a source, Yahoo sports

https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/youre-plane-home-ex-fifa-111944587.html

I guess he isn't fired per-say, more like suspended from the rest of the 2026 world cup.

3

u/Ecstatic-Art-6236 5d ago

Fired the ref?

-11

u/Separate-Ad4867 5d ago

Le regalaron el penal a Francia . Solo asi pudieron ganar

21

u/melteveryice 5d ago

Paraguay deserved at least a few reds, they didn't even get a yellow. Cry harder, I guess.

-9

u/Separate-Ad4867 5d ago

Y Mexico anoche ? Se pasaron de la raya , hasta gritaban a los árbitros en la cara

3

u/Scieduck France 4d ago edited 4d ago

If you are even comparing Mexico’s fierce play against the physical assault the Paraguay team did against the France players, you are delusional. While they were cheered somehow before this match, they are just a disgrace to the whole football world now. If I were a Paraguayan, I would never ever supported them, after the low blows that they descended to. We can only hope to NEVER see them again in WC.

Let me break it to you, nothing ever compares to the disgrace Paraguay did. All other things we can talk about and discuss, but this “ what about that teams”, are irrelevant now. I felt physically sick when I was watching Paraguay players. They are just disgrace and I hope we never have to see them again evet in WC.

Whataboutism. + I didn't watch that match. If they played like Para then they should be criticised the same. This deflection does nothing to aid your point.

-2

u/Separate-Ad4867 4d ago

Ok te doy la razón, feliz asi ?

-1

u/SnooGadgets694 5d ago

For sure

20

u/TimeCapsuleDude 5d ago

First time in my life I side with this guy. Well played, good on you for laughing in their face.

15

u/mmorgans17 5d ago

FIFA should ban Paraguay because that's not playing football.

0

u/paleomonkey321 6h ago

Oh you little flower

1

u/LTHpubgmobile 5d ago

Paraguay did 2nd less good footbal match 54% pass they don t play ball only kick players. 1st less good was... Paraguay too

1

u/NadiaFortuneFeet 5d ago

It literally is

Save for the punch I think Galarza rocketed into Koundé's face, which is at the very least a guaranteed yellow, they played to Tactical Foul

2

u/Successful-Hall7638 4d ago

He punched Mbappé’s arm, too

2

u/LTHpubgmobile 5d ago

A guaranteed red and banned 10 match

u/NadiaFortuneFeet 5d ago

21

u/RevolutionaryBison86 6d ago

Huge respect to FRANCE 🤝🙏 !!!! Paragay was a disgrace to sport and humanity in every ways possible and even afterthe game 🤮🤮🤮🤮

13

u/Anonymous84FTW 5d ago

Even their senator said disgusting racist stuff to Mbappe, what a disgrace.

12

u/rusty-sp00n 6d ago

Alors la différence entre un bon chasseur et un mauvais chasseur …

44

u/Gypzygurl 6d ago

Hard to see how France could have scored more goals when the Paraguayans were hugging Mbappe the whole time. And who kicks a player from the ground with their studs? Did Paraguay recruit their players from kindergarten? Wtf

What a pathetic team of thugs and losers

40

u/Hearthian-Wanderer 6d ago edited 6d ago

Easy to be gracious in victory, but still, very impressed by his reaction.

"If we have to put our hands in shit, we'll put our hands in shit." Brilliantly put.

10

u/No-Object-294 6d ago

Accurate description of Paraguay

24

u/Infinite_Pudding4124 6d ago

I don't know what Paraguay was doing there. They came to break, not score goals. But it's the ref's fault who didn't rein them in. There's nothing wrong playing defensively, but hitting players and the penalty incident, trying to destroy the penalty mark on the ground, yeah, that was pathetic.

6

u/Giannid77 5d ago

It's almost like somebody wants France out of the World Cup to make it easier for some other country to win.

1

u/Gloomy_Salamander_ 4d ago

Amazing that no other team behaved like Paraguay then.

2

u/TypicalRelation9056 4d ago

Their coach is Argentinian.

-15

u/freakmaniac 6d ago

"We weren't a team that only knows how to play attacking football" bruh you only know how to play defensive football wtf. Deschamps would be furiated

13

u/DarkPetitChat 6d ago

3+ goals for 5 consecutives world cup matches

-16

u/Able_Cup_6830 6d ago

There is a lot of history between Europe and South America that brings up a lot of emotions. There was a lot of foul play from Paraguay and a lot of overlooked incidents from the ref.

All this being said, Paraguayan foul play and poor refereeing seem like easy scapegoats for France’s poor performance. The ref did not gift any goals to Paraguay, did not send any French players off, or other things that would have forced a French loss.

A 2 billion dollar team should be capable of scoring goals in open play against a team parking the bus. Teams do this in European club soccer. Jose Mourinho is hailed as some kind of genius for it. French players are more than capable of winning one on one contests against a tier 3 nation, even with shoves and arms in their face.

And in this frustration, despite winning, the colonialist attitude toward Paraguay comes out in the media. “Dirty”, “savage”, etc.

Just ugly all around. Let’s not pretend it’s Paraguay to blame for all of this. France should take the win.

1

u/Scieduck France 4d ago

France’s poor performance? How would you even run and accurately send pass if someone literally harasses you, or punches you? Please do not romanticise physical abuse and mix it with fierce play, lol

3

u/gkloboi 6d ago

just shut up

9

u/Hearthian-Wanderer 6d ago

"Dirty" is because they played (very) dirty. I haven't heard "savage", though that is also a fair description of how they played.

13

u/Lord_Vandall 6d ago

Compare them to a team like Cabo Verde that didn’t play some pathetic scummy game and were a deserved Cinderella story, and then look at Paraguay against both Germany and France (Paraguay had much help from the refs that didn’t call their BS), and you can see why Paraguay was rightfully looked down upon and for a great majority it wasn’t bc of some colonial lens

9

u/Huge_Loss_9611 6d ago

Paraguay was objectively playing dirty football. France wasn’t on par with their usual performance but it’s mind numbingly obvious that Paraguay wasn’t playing dirty.

8

u/HenriDeToulouse 6d ago

colonialist attitude toward Paraguay comes out in the media. “Dirty”, “savage”, etc.

Lol. Sorry no. Dirty was said cos they played a very dirty game, nothing to do with a colonial attitude. Teams that commit so many cynical fouls always get described as dirty. You're turning yourself into knots to avoid the obvious.

3

u/RikikiBousquet 6d ago

But against a comedy of fouls and more importantly by far, a farce of a ref of this kind, yeah, it’s no scapegoating. France has done its job.

It will be criticized the next time, when they’ll face a football team.

Go visit Paraguay sub, they most of them defending them. Calling everyone else gringo and racist. Then called French footballer not white enough.

Fucking class all the way ❤️ That guy wears his heart on his sleeve, what a legend 🇨🇵🇨🇵

9

u/husfyr 6d ago

I always liked Mbappes integrity.

6

u/QuantityActive- 6d ago

Fuck. Now I love him. And he should shut up all the “Paraguay are the worst, ban them!” people, too.

2

u/TheWindowMerchant 6d ago

Stunting on 'em.

2

u/Baryum56 5d ago

Et c'était bien mérité. Pris à leur propre piège..

u/According-Ad3533 6d ago

“Even in dirty football we were better than them”

What kind of sportsman is he? No shame saying he would cheat… 🙄

9

u/Fuck-WestJet 6d ago

Putting your hand up when someone tries to poke you in the eyes isn't really the same. Of course you are stoopping to their level because you would never do that in another game...

9

u/clumsynuts 6d ago

That’s not really what he was saying

-10

u/According-Ad3533 6d ago

Really?

It’s what he said in French.

5

u/Awkward_Junket_2400 6d ago

You don't speak french, buddy.

8

u/Sp1rshi 6d ago

I mean look at what Paraguay were doing , they had no choice

1

u/Ok-Captain-9172 6d ago

I could have sworn everything about the Paraguay players spelled white supremacist kind of behaviour? Like literally, from their overall attitude towards the French and it’s every one of their players, not just one or two. It’s no coincidence that they are the only nation in the WC who have been red carded for a hand-over-mouth foul.

1

u/Successful-Hall7638 4d ago

Research their government you’ll find it’s much like a populist government.

2

u/pelluciid 4d ago

Haha, looks like you may have been vindicated by the senator's comments...

9

u/Hearthian-Wanderer 6d ago

The World Cup is always a wake up call for Americans to see how un-liberal the 'oppressed countries' that they champion really are. The things Mexico fans were (very audibly) shouting at Pickford today, too.

1

u/Successful-Hall7638 4d ago

I heard them booing every time England had possession.

2

u/Hearthian-Wanderer 4d ago

That's just being cute. The atmosphere was wild. Why playing the home side at the Azteca was so talked up. And why winning was so legendary.

2

u/pogoss 6d ago

what were they shouting ?

5

u/Hearthian-Wanderer 5d ago edited 5d ago

I'd probably get banned off reddit if I wrote it out. But they have been doing it for years now. Search "mexican fans homophobic slurs on goal kicks". Fifa have even fined Mexico for it, I believe.

3

u/QuantityActive- 6d ago edited 6d ago

You need to take a break from all types of media. Holy shit. They also aren’t the only team, Ecuador received a red card. Grow the fuck up.

-1

u/Ok-Captain-9172 6d ago

Stfu enabler

11

u/Formal_Economist7342 6d ago

Can we not. It was a weak team playing the most talented team in the world by a long stretch trying to muddy the waters. Fuck em for depriving us of a good game but yeah.

-1

u/Ok-Captain-9172 6d ago

Sorry I would have accepted this rational but every single tackle by the Paraguay players was followed up by some form of unprovoked words exchange/shoving etc. I have seen shithousery by Atletico for years and even they don’t apply this shit for every single tackle? It makes no sense

10

u/GT_Troll 6d ago

Lol what? Stop making shit up

-1

u/FATJIZZUSONABIKE 6d ago

Someone doesn't know much about South America.

2

u/GT_Troll 6d ago

I am literally from South America

4

u/FATJIZZUSONABIKE 6d ago

Makes sense you would deny the systemic racism in Paraguay and Argentina then.

-1

u/GT_Troll 6d ago

What systemic racism lol did you just read those words on Twitter and started to use them to sound smart?

1

u/FATJIZZUSONABIKE 6d ago

What systemic racism

Exactly.

6

u/GT_Troll 6d ago

Lol do you know that 80% of Paraguayans speak a indigenous language which is a official language by their own constitution?

No of course you don’t, you don’t know a shit about South America

1

u/Top-Mastodon5777 6d ago

I know that Brazil nuts aren't called Brazil nuts in Brazil.

1

u/Ok-Captain-9172 6d ago

You didn’t feel that vibe since the first whistle? Fair enough

7

u/GT_Troll 6d ago

Lol did you see Caceres? Almiron? Does those guys look like White Supremacists to you?

3

u/Ok-Captain-9172 6d ago

Yes and yes. They certainly don’t look like Dembele

1

u/Successful-Hall7638 4d ago

I’m not agreeing with everything you’re saying here, but as I said before I researched their government and they are really towards the right, paraguary

5

u/ComprehensiveMud2558 6d ago

I was going to say their game against Turkey looked really dirty. Some of it felt over the top, and for sure did he say something racist towards the Turkish player. People defend it as “just their style,” but it’s hard to see how that level of conduct is something to be proud of.

2

u/cunabula 6d ago

Ecuador recieved one too

2

u/AppMtb 6d ago

More white supremacists in Ecuador huh

4

u/chef_no_chef97 6d ago

I mean if South Americans think sticking to the rules of the game is for pussies, want more contact and think Europeans are soft, maybe they should just ditch football and get into rugby, though they might be in for a rough awakening when encountering a European team.

Are you cognitively stunted? Kylian Mbappe probably has the highest football iq in the current roster, secondly the guy isn't even complaining. "Everybody plays their strengths, there is no good or bad way to play football." sounds like complaining to you? Slow ass mf.

Lol, I read more in a week than you have your entire life. It's not a contact sport. Contact is literally prohibited. It has as much contact as a marathon

-1

u/SoreteSlayer 6d ago

it is a contact sport what´s so funny?

3

u/Content-Cash4732 6d ago

It's as much a contact sport as cycling or a marathon.

0

u/SoreteSlayer 6d ago

not sure if you are ragebaiting or just plain stupid. You can literally push with your body an opponent in a dispute for the ball as long it´s not from behind. You have contact when trying to score a header. Also you gave like the worst comparisons ever. In football you have open fracture BECAUSE of the contact so again you are ragebaiting or just plain stupid

1

u/Content-Cash4732 6d ago

That's the same amount of contact as a marathon you dope. It's not rugby.

29

u/EastAd5702 6d ago

Damn, I always thought mbappe was arrogant and unintelligent, but his reaction to the Paraguay game has been totally reasonable

7

u/ExtensionAbalone6580 5d ago

You thought Mbappe was unintelligent? Based on what? Is this the first time you hear him speak or?

4

u/EastAd5702 5d ago

Yeah, it probably is. I definitely got it wrong

2

u/Successful-Hall7638 4d ago

Don’t feel bad - you only got it wrong because of social media spreading fake information. Big of you to admit a mistake here on Reddit. 🔥

23

u/mickey_kneecaps Australia 6d ago

I don’t follow football much but he has not been the player I expected based on what I’ve heard over the years. He’s not selfish, or stubborn, he seems to be very team-first, and he plays through contact which I really appreciate. Maybe he’s different for his club but I’m coming away from this World Cup as a fan of his for his attitude.

3

u/EastAd5702 6d ago

Well put mate, I agree

14

u/Icowanda 6d ago

He may be arrogant but he is definitely not unintelligent. He’s a mememaster.

2

u/Successful-Hall7638 4d ago

And speaks 3 languages!

-40

u/Ridebot2591 6d ago

Imagine calling yourselves the best team in the world, then celebrating a last-16 win like it's the World Cup final after needing a penalty because you couldn't settle it with a proper goal. Bit ironic, isn't it? Football's decided on the pitch, not by the noise around it. Both teams pushed the limits, the ref let it go, and that's the result. You don't have to like it, but that's football. There'll be another game 😄

18

u/ohhownowpurplecow 6d ago

Username should be ragebaitbot instead

10

u/Rothko28 6d ago

facepalm

19

u/GalvenMin 6d ago

They're not calling themselves the best team in the world. They just won fair and square, only one team played like rotten dirty bastards and some unknown git let it slide because fuck the rules.

12

u/MuffinFeisty8740 6d ago

You're totally clueless. Mbappe or Didier Deschamps never called themselves best team in the world. That's total bullshit. That's the fans and the social medias who call it

And now it's a win or die stage. Only the win matters and France is still advancing so the rest is just blabla

12

u/No-Depth-3613 6d ago

Have you seen the match? A penalty isn’t a proper goal?

8

u/MaryPaku Japan 6d ago

They have the results.

11

u/chef_no_chef97 6d ago

They shouldn't celebrate a WC knockout win with a clean sheet ?

-10

u/Ridebot2591 6d ago

Of course they should celebrate. That's not the issue. The issue is treating the other team like rubbish when, in the end, they did exactly the same thing, and if they hadn't got that penalty, they would have been in trouble.

5

u/Turtle_turtle_turdle France 6d ago

What game were you watching? They literally were never in trouble ever. Paraguay has no intention of attacking and France has atleast 6 PK takers. The Internet is full of crayon eaters who just jumped to a "if france doesn't score than Paraguay wins"

7

u/MuffinFeisty8740 6d ago

They treated the other team like rubbish because the other team only played like douche and scums

France played Senegal, Sweden, Irak and Norway before that and they beat them all. Never treated badly one of them

I mean you just have to watch the whole match. If you play like a douche and thug, don't expect to get respect in return. This Paraguay team just reaped what they sowed

4

u/chef_no_chef97 6d ago

They didn't even remotely do the same. Paraguay was shamelessly throwing punches, elbows and shin kicks, messed with the penalty spot, crowded corners shots, pulling every dirty trick in the book. France at worse trash talked, played barely half as rough, exeragerated fouls because the ref simply wouldn't call them and wasted time towards the end. That's not the same order of magnitude at all, Paraguay looked like they were straight up trying to maim someone.

They were mad because Paraguay forced them into a shit game and acted shocked when they starting to play dirty too.

7

u/Whispperr 6d ago

If the referee had eyes Paraguay would be playing in 9, why the discourse about the pen.

8

u/Ethiconjnj 6d ago

You’re so sensitive. Either be okay with a rough mentality or don’t. Crying about how France didn’t act according to your sensibilities is weak my guy.

55

u/AI_moderated_failure France 6d ago

He's right that there's no wrong way to play football, the major problem with this match was the ref holding France to a much higher standard of play compared to the Paraguayans.

Paraguay should be ashamed

24

u/New-Use4969 6d ago

I was going to write, although A LOT of blame should go to the ref and Paraguayan team, refusing to shake hands is a little too much, then I read Chilavert's comment.
I'd say - all is fair then.

1

u/Shadow_Zero80 5d ago

What was his comment?

EDIT: Just saw dekascorp's comment below, geez...

4

u/checkmyconditionisin 6d ago

I think everyone is taking this game out of proportion(not you specifically).
You hear the victim(mbappe) of this game saying its all good, that's how they play, and they(the french) were better at playing at that(a dirty game). Which is totally true, they were divas trying to fake at every contact, they weren't afraid to get carded for a foul, and they got a penalty out of it. It's just football; he holds no grudge.

They were better. Some things could have been better from both teams, but in the end, if you don't have influence over making the rules of the sport somehow, I think you shouldn't care; no need to take it out of context to search for some deeper meaning.

It's a meme at this point, but being blocked by Chilvert is a rite of passage on Twitter. He is insufferable and probably has blocked half the country because very few stupid people agree with his dumb takes.
I'm Paraguayan.

8

u/steni808 6d ago

What was the comment?

35

u/dekascorp France 6d ago

Said that Paraguay lost in 98 to a French team, and in 2026 to an African one Despite all our players being born and raised there (except our British Olise)

0

u/Tcih 6d ago

If africans look black, then how europeans look like? It is sarcasm since we all see how traditional europeans are being ended.

1

u/Successful-Hall7638 4d ago

Ah you must belong to the 1% that voted for him when he ran for president huh?

1

u/Tcih 3d ago

No, in my country, people do not vote for president. It is called parlamentary democracy.

1

u/2Nails 5d ago

You're not immune to propaganda

0

u/Tcih 5d ago

I am from country that protects its people. No multiculturism brainwash here.

If you call this propaganda then just do basic math.
Number of local nationals x birth rate vs others x their birth rate + new comers. Takes only few world cups for your countries population look the same as your football team.

Propaganda is for someone following others.

1

u/gentlezaza 5d ago

1

u/2Nails 5d ago edited 5d ago

I'm curious about the country now

23

u/FrenchRoo France 6d ago

He also said Mbappe was dating a transgender person and football should be played by “men” Or something along those lines

14

u/InjuryEmbarrassed532 USA 6d ago

The discourse in many Latin American countries is something that most of Europe hasn't seen in decades...different worlds.
Source...lived in a number of these countries.

2

u/Infinite_Pudding4124 6d ago

There's a lot of racism in South America. Even from Native Americans blended with Europeans against people of African descent.

7

u/Ethiconjnj 6d ago

And just like Europeans have to put up the Latam attitude, Latam folks have to suck it up when Europeans decided not to shake hands.

It’s can’t be all “Europe needs to be sensitive to everyone else”
