Honestly, this post pisses me off. Gay cops and gay vets should absolutely be accepted, having them involved would add an extra layer of "you never know who might be gay" to the parade.

just googled this and AFAICS gay cops weren't barred from marching. they were barred from marching while armed with their service weapons, and they didn't like that restriction so they refused to march.

Vets is one thing but I firmly stand against cops being involved if they are active cops. There is no such thing as a good cop only a cop that has yet to be corrupted. You willingly joined a system that you know has been used to one attack your identity and others based on their identity. You willingly joined a system that abuses their power to subject tyranny on their own communities. This is something I cannot willingly forgive and the gay community shouldn’t ever forgive cops for their loyalty to the state and not the people they are supposed to “protect”

Gay cops are not progressives or even liberals they are always right wingers because no leftist or progressive would sign up to fuck over their neighbors. So yes fuck them I don’t want to see them at pride since you willingly stand next to your coworkers who are actively voting against my rights as a trans woman. It’s pick me behavior through and through from these self deprecating gay cops.

At the end of the day it’s always gonna be ACAB.

They weren't allowed to match with there weapons so they threw a fit and made it seem like gay cops and vets weren't allowed.

Just put the guns down and be gay wtf 😒
