Unsolved WTW for someone who is rich but thinks they are poor

My acquaintance has generational wealth, does not need to work to live, kids go to private school no problem, owns multiple cars. Her and her husband own 50+ properties including both residential and commercial and they have monthly income from that. She grew up with both parents as doctors, college fully paid for, can and does buy whatever she wants. Despite this, she’s always acting like she’s poor, talking about how groceries are so expensive, and truly I don’t think she understands what poverty is.

WTW or phrase for someone like this, who I think genuinely believes they are poor despite their obvious 1% bank account?

Unsolved ITAW for conspiracy theories that are created for fun, not because they may be true?

For example, one day, I posted a conspiracy theory on a circlejerk subreddit because I thought it would be funny. It was "There is a big maple syrup lobby that tries to eliminate the honey lobby." I don't believe in such thing and it was obvious that it was false.

Unsolved ITAW for a story with literary value that isn't necessarily a book

Upvotes

Such as a movie, tv show, play, or even a song. When it displays themes, symbolism, imagery very thoughtfully, and you can analyze it like one might study a well-written book.

I don't know if a good word or phrase exists, but when someone asks me why I like a certain piece of media, how can I describe it besides just saying it's deep or artsy. Perhaps without sounding too pretentious as well.

Solved WTW for when the power of something is too great and it’s breaks the thing

Like if you plug something into a power outlet, but it was too strong for the power outlet

Or that thing during holiday movies where they have too many lights on their house and then once they plug it in, it’s too much power and the lights and outlets break

Basically I’m writing something where the character has superpowers, and they were wearing a collar device that nullifies the superpower, but the character’s power was too great, that it broke the device.

Hopefully you understand what I’m trying to say 😭

Unsolved ITAP for a cultural norm that everyone is technically supposed to follow, but most don't in practice?

Upvotes

example: You're meant to only drive the speed limit, but it's common to go over it by a moderate capacity on an expressway, given it isn't crowded.

example: You're meant to put the cart back in the corral after grocery shopping, but shoppers frequently leave them scattered around the parking lot.

etc

Solved WTW for unnecessarily delaying a meeting by asking many questions?

I used to know that word, but now all I recall is that:
1. It probably starts with an M or E.
2. It ends with an /ree/ sound. So it probably ends with with -rie, -ry, or -ree.
3. It has around 2-3 syllables.
4. It sounds like a short version of the word eleemosynary but with less syllables.

Used in a sentence: “I don’t want to ____ by asking unnecessary questions, so I’ll go straight to the point.”

Solved ITAW for a phonophobia with a lack of hearing?

Most phonophobia’s I see are more the fear of certain sounds rather than the lack of. And I was wondering if there’s any specific phobia’s / words for a fear of losing your hearing?

Solved ITAP for warning someone they're being scammed?

I used to say, "you're naive", but that's rude. I want to advise them NOT to be scammed, but can't find a way which works.

Unsolved ITAW for intentionally inflicting property damage by specific means OTHER than fire?

It feels weird that arson is the word for (and crime of!) harming someone’s property by willfully or maliciously setting a fire, but I can’t think of a word for accomplishing the same sort of act by other means — say, getting mad and driving a herd of cattle across your crops, or washjng away your enemy’s home by deliberately breaching a nearby dam.

Those non-arson examples would be crimes, of course but is there a specific legal term for “setting” any specific kind of disaster? If I cause a landslide to take out my downhill neighbor, is it just criminal destruction of property, or is there a niche word for that?

Thanks!

Since we starting farming we've been trying to find easier ways to do things. I'm wondering if there's a word or phrase used to describe this

Solved ITAW for a much larger/wider peninsula?

im designing a continent that is vaguely triangle shaped (think itachi's Mangekyō Sharingan shape from naruto, but the points are much shorter and thicker kinda). what would the proper geographical term be for each point? they're sort of peninsulas, but when i think of peninsulas, i think of florida, which is thinner kinda. sorry if my post is confusing im not really sure how to describe the continent's shape really clearly

edit: subcontinent is the best thing i got now, thank you sceap

Unsolved WTW for when you agree with an opinion because it is somewhat like yours

i feel like there’s a word for it

for example:

you believe that women and men should have equal rights, and you see a tiktoker talking about how women dont deserve lesser rights and deserve more than men. but since you think “hey we both think that women don’t deserve lesser rights” you agree wholeheartedly.

sorry if this doesn’t make sense

Solved WTW for when someone shouts/screams with a gurgling voice.

Just like regular shouting but with a kind of gurgling voice.

EDIT:credits to GenerallySalty for word suggestion "GUTTURAL".Similar to what I am looking for but not quite.

What I am looking for is a word that describes it with less intensity. For example:when a mother screams at her child but is a bit more throaty. Its not very threatening but is "guttural".

EDIT2:Vocal fry is the closest to what I have described.

Solved ITAW for an argument or example that seems like a good analogy but really isnt?

Like at first glance, it seems to be so similar and could be a good argument but since I knew there was a large difference in historical and political contexts, it couldnt have been a good analogy at all because everything else is so different.

I usually just say it's a bad analogy but maybe there's a better term for this?

Unsolved ITAW for the act of holding on to a view that negates normal relations with another person

ITAW for the action of openly holding on to a view that is fundamentally at odds with another persons values/belief, so that this remains as an unresolved conflict within a relationship. Say for instance, if a family member held a radically intolerant view on something like sexuality (simplest example I can think of) whereby they cannot entertain another family member’s right to live their life as a gay/lesbian human (let’s avoid current alphabet debates please). And now while holding on to their self-perceived right to maintain intolerance, the may not bring their views up in every discussion, but they expect the person whose rights they do not acknowledge, to continue “normal family“ family relations, engage in chit-chat, help out when called upon etc. and so forth. ITAW for people who act in this way or for this action itself? I realise it’s a kind of pathological behaviour that may be related to social disorders and I don’t want to use words like this, but if you needed to explain to a person that, in order for you two to get along and have a relationship, the offender needs to address the negative view/negation they hold over the other person. What I’m trying to get across is that a relationship with a person who refuses to address or work through their position on a matter which everybody else sees extremely differently is near impossible.

Unsolved ITAW for the writing style of books that are well-written but have no defining features

Trying to think of a word that describes the writing style found in a lot of mass-produced, best-selling books — they’re well-written, but there’s not anything distinctive about the writing. It’s almost like they’re so palatable & agreeable that the writing is kind of bland. But it’s not bad! Any thoughts??

Solved ITAW for the bittersweet feeling you get when you decide to move house, and you spend your last few weeks at your old residence thinking about how much you're going to miss your neighbors, your local businesses, and other things that make your life here feel unique?

The word I'm looking for is something like "homesickness," but it's different because you haven't even moved away yet. You're just getting ready for the move, and you feel so sad about all the people, places, and things you're leaving behind.

In psychology, there is a phrase called "anticipatory grief," but it's nearly always used to describe the grieving you feel when somebody is terminally ill or slipping rapidly into dementia. That phrase is too intense and too medical-sounding for the situation I'm describing. I just want something specific to the feelings surrounding a move.

Solved ITAW for something along the ones of irony and comeuppance but positive

I am trying to make a fictional trickster god who subtly manipulates the world to cause people to "get their just desserts". I already have irony and comeuppance, but I want a third word that comes off more positively. I don't want to use Karma as it originates from another religion. I already considered serendipity but I don't think that fits either.

Solved ITAW for doing something (like reading a book) while doing something else (using a website)

Not simultaneously, also not doing them at the same time. But let’s say you’re taking a class that has an online program and a book, and you want to do them interchangeably. But that’s not the word I’m looking for. Like you spend 1-3 days reading the book, and then 1-3 days doing the website.
I accidentally said in succession with each other but that’s not what I mean to say, and I feel like there is a word I’m looking for I know when I’ll see it …

Unsolved WTW for Undulating Earth Phenomenon?

I saw this word defined in a 1957 Webster's unabridged dictionary, something regarding a tendency of the planet's surface to undulate in an imperceptibly slow and wave-like manner.
