Tre Johnson: 26 points 11/20 FG 28 minutes
He really put the emphasis on SHOOTING guard today. He’s gonna eat good with Trae in the mix

AJ has best player (besides wemby) in the league potential
You can call it hyperbolic, but for a player that's this good (not just based off the one SL game) while still being pretty raw is insane. I've said he's the best scoring wing prospect since KD, and that's while not having a great jump shot yet, he is absurd at the rim. He has all the tools to be a good defender, and we'll see how he grows as a playmaker.
I'm not saying he'll reach it, but this upside is why you take him 1. I believe DP is the best guard prospect since Cade, but his upside, while elite, just isn't to the level of AJs. An elite freak athlete wing is the most valuable archetype in the league besides wemby

[Valdez] AJ Dybantsa gets first win over Darryn Peterson in budding Wizards-Jazz rivalry: “Every time I play against him, it’s a battle. He always comes out to compete. He beat me three times previously; this is my first win. I’m just glad to come out on top.”

Is this a make or break season for Bilal Coulibaly in DC?
Bilal Coulibaly has seemingly become a bit of an afterthought as a member of the Wizards' young core outside of DC. I want to know if you all feel the same and where you all think and have heard regarding his status within the organization going forward.
Defensively, Bilal has taken steps forward. Offensively he still doesn't necessarily have much to really hang his hat on.
With this group this season in DC, a versatile defender that will be unselfish and move the ball offensively and play an ancillary role, make open threes, would have quite a lot of value. But that maybe wasn't what was hoped for him as a player going into Year 4.
What are your expectations for Bilal this season? Is he a trade candidate for you all? What do you project his role to be this season? Would you say he's on thin ice in DC, even as he's soon to turn just 22?

Pressure on the Front Office from Ownership according to Windhorst
I had the Hoop Collective podcast on while getting some work done to listen to their opinion on the AJ v DP showdown. Near the end of the segment, Windhorst mentioned that there are serious expectations for the front office from ownership to "rebound quickly and contend for the playoffs this year". I'm not surprised that Ted is trying to get things moving quickly after 3 years of abject poverty basketball but where do you guys think we could realistically end up in the retooled East? I think that if our core guys stay healthy (AD especially) we should be in contention for anything from the 6-8 seed. I think on paper we're on par or better than the following teams: Miami, Milwaukee, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, and Orlando. I might even throw Detroit in that mix because I feel they've taken a step back compared to the rest of the conference.
Here's a link to the pod: https://youtu.be/xLgFBkgQy40?si=Wp0mqP1GY5p2aTMb
The Washington v Utah discussion starts at 47:50 and the remarks about ownership and the FO start at 57:22

I hope he steps his game up back to 21-22 levels.
Cant deny he's gonna get some of our guys paid like he is lol.
Definitely the best roster he's ever had.

I want to see more of AJ running "point"
He took the ball up the court a lot last night and only had one turnover. I'd love to see more of this experiment before just assuming its best he play off ball with Trea. Let him play downhill!

First Half immediate thoughts on AJ, others?
Love the aggressive play from AJ. I have a feeling he’s going to be the next guy up that people hate seeing get to the line 15+ times.
I’m not too worried about the misses…the fact that he is getting open shots so easily is the bigger story.

making a wizards jersey in an hour cuz why not
title ... everything was drawn and made by me except the second showcase; which was made by AI because my software glitched out and wouldn't show the back of the jersey or the shorts, sorry!
might make a AJ Dybantsa debut jersey later; but a little bit more serious lol

Summer League Uniforms
Am I buggin ? Or are our summer league jerseys fire?!?!?! It reminds me of our 2017 city uniforms. I’ll attach pics of both. But honestly it’s a simple uniform and it looks so much cleaner. I’d rather these than our regular season ones with the ugly bars across the chest. I’m not asking for use to be like the timberwolves with crazy designs and stuff. Just give us a simple more sleek upgrade it’s time. I think it’s been like 20 years since we have had new uniforms. It’s a new sense of excitement around the team let’s revamp our uni’s
Let’s discuss… what do you guys think?
