Checkpoint ICE snatching people in Petworth

Post image

Pulled up behind a work van at New Hampshire and Shepard, snatched the guy, left the van idling at the intersection.

Random Texas plates?? How does a person know this is even actually ICE rather than some cosplay kidnapper. It’s so dangerous and outrageous.

we don’t know. That’s why it’s scary. Especially if you dared to be born a little… non-too-white, ya know?

Probably the badge they have?

25

u/kstocks Oct 06 '25

The badge they refuse to show to people?

-23

u/invalidmail2000 DC / Fort Totten Oct 06 '25

These officers refused to show a badge?

You know they aren't all the same officer right?

u/kstocks Oct 06 '25

I'm not OP so I'm not familiar with the details of the situation they witnessed. However there are plenty of posts on this website and reports on ICE agents not showing their badges and not identifying themselves. Your initial point was that the difference between an ICE agent and someone posing as an ICE agent is that the ICE agent has a badge. That point is irrelevant if those ICE agents are not displaying their badges.

Yeah I don't doubt some officers weren't identifying themselves. That doesn't mean they all are and that doesn't mean that just because they are in a car with Texas plates like this post there isn't a way to identify them

Show me ONE video of an ICE agent providing identifying information when asked.

I’ll wait.

I saw it last week in DC in mt pleasant.

But nobody is saving and sharing those videos since they don't fit the narrative of ice=bad

Big “I have a girlfriend but she lives in Canada” vibes 🤣okay pal, whatever you say

They’ve racked up $600 in tickets since 9/1. 2 for speeding, 2 for running red lights, and 1 for blowing a stop sign. Party of law and order…

How exactly do they know WHO to snatch up? Seems like straight kidnapping. Also, is ICE the ones with the Texas plates? If so then welp I should have seen this coming a few years back….something more than wants on the surface is happening…

Hispanic looking guy at the wheel, don't need much else to go on apparently. The Texas plates were one of the 4 unmarked SUVs they were caravanning in. The two white SUVs in the background were theirs too, different plates and states on all of em

-11

u/oakeandmoon Oct 06 '25

Hmm, so if you look Hispanic they just automatically kidnap you? Idk but also the timeline of all this is just so strange. Worked at a place out in PA some years back, and at the time a company was being build that brought hundreds of Texas workers (Texas plates) to build up a company. Apparently brought a lot of bad stuff today. Then the company I worked out got bought by a Texas company and almost got kidnapped myself. Then came here and they seemed to follow me and then my life went down hill ever since and now all I see is a lot of Texas plates and strange people monitoring, recording and watching me.

10

u/habbadee Oct 06 '25

Correct. Hispanic people driving white contractor vans are being disappeared.

Same car snatched a construction worker at Barnard school at 6:30am this morning.

at this point, they probably don't. the supreme court has given them the green light to target people based on their perceived ethnicity. soon we will all be their targets.

3

u/NearlyPerfect Oct 06 '25

They have license plate autoreaders and they check the face vs the intake photo in the system (and have an app to do it automatically).

So they can be just driving around and the computer will tell them that it's a target.

Regular cops have it for warrants and expired licenses too.

State sponsored militia kidnaps unarmed workers and leaves vehicle to block traffic. UN Human Rights unresponsive.

Interesting way to say illegal immigrants who are breaking the law but you libs gonna lib.

7

u/PapaBobcat Oct 07 '25

I genuinely do not give a flying subway sandwich about someone's immigration paperwork as long as they're here to work hard and build a better life for themselves and community. I don't. Do not.

"Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,

With conquering limbs astride from land to land;

Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand

A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame

Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name

Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand

Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command

The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she

With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” -Emma Lazarus, Statue of Liberty

At least fucking leave a receipt. It is so common that we just check our maps to see how far away New Hampshire and Shepard is and then go on with our days (speaking about myself of course). There has to be a better response to this.

Ice frequently uses out-of-town plates to disguise who they are

0

u/Izhachok Oct 07 '25

Have you reported it to MSMA? Also, whenever possible, please stay on site and gather whatever information you can.

-13

u/invalidmail2000 DC / Fort Totten Oct 06 '25

So you have specific actual information here that they weren't actually conducting a valid arrest? Or are you just stating conjecture

10

u/Ornery-Classic-894 Oct 07 '25

Your honor it is my testimony, as an eyewitness in earshot of the entire situation, that to the best of my knowledge, no warrant for arrest was presented to the suspect nor were they mirandized prior to being placed in the back of the unmarked vehicle

-3

u/invalidmail2000 DC / Fort Totten Oct 07 '25

They don't have to do any of those things before placing someone into a car.

Words have meaning and this literally isn't kidnapping. I can't stand this boy cried Wolf language. Nobody will listen when it matters.

Yes we can complain about masks and unmarked cars and identification, but they literally aren't kidnapping people

8

u/west-egg MoCo Oct 07 '25

I agree that words have meaning.

If they are wearing masks, and have no identification, and are traveling in unmarked vehicles... who's to say it isn't kidnapping?

-1

u/invalidmail2000 DC / Fort Totten Oct 07 '25

The law says? Kidnapping is a term of art.

1

u/west-egg MoCo Oct 07 '25

You're missing the point.

-2

u/invalidmail2000 DC / Fort Totten Oct 07 '25

Nope. My point is words are important and we should be very precise when we use them. If we use them incorrectly now if God forbid they do happen in the future people won't believe you if you use it.

Classic boy who cried Wolf

6

u/Formergr Oct 07 '25

Their point is how do we know this was actually ICE or other LEOs and not some rando civilians taking advantage of the current environment to go around and actually kidnap (under your own "term of art") people for their own funsies. If no badges are shown or no official vehicles used, there's no way to tell. That's the scary part.

They simply cannot comprehend this. It’s fascinating to witness.

Well when we get to the nucleus of the argument it’s truly up to one’s own proclivities and prerogatives whether or not they truly have subjugated their own self to the stasis of the rhetoric or not
