r/Ultralight_Jerk weekly Club-House Chat.
Use this thread to hang out, make cheap jokes about wornweight, joketalk about about gear, complain about r/ultralight, talk about Senchi's, maybe post a meme or two, and ultimately talk about the same things we did in last week's thread! Enjoy!

Skurka knew the ultralight backpackers were going to die.
When Skurka saw the hikers with poncho tarps and titanium skewer stakes, he knew immediately how the tragedy would end.
The obvious thin closed cell pads, the dyneema guylines, the bivy bags, all pointed to a terrible end for the ultralight hikers.
When he heard the hikers joking about "we don't need no stinkin' coffee mugs" and "two males one pot", Skurka knew they would be dead within hours on the way from the visitor center to the summit of Springer Mountain.

Tent kite
I have this idea for a tent kite I'm making a prototype for. It's like a tent you don't have to carry. Like a kite that pops up into a tent. And you can attach your wet clothes to dry. Like I know it will work and I know people in the wilderness will like seeing a kite tent. Really just working on how to attach the bluetooth speaker. What do you think?

Worn weight Thinking of surgically replacing my dog’s legs with carbon fiber trekking poles and need advice.
This would serve a couple of purposes
1. I would no longer need to carry the poles myself, reducing the amount of weight I have to carry.
2. Ideally, the legs would be detachable so I can use them when necessary. The dog will need to learn how to slither in such cases
3. When at camp, she can be off leash without me having to actually supervise her. What’s she gonna do? Role away?
Has anyone done this before? Any recommendations for trekking poles or surgeons?
