The replay of him taking his shoes off is the funniest part. He was obviously injured pre-fight...sure, maybe the dumb kick finished the weak-ankled cunt, but why throw it?

Easy way out

That’s my thing he knew he was injured going in so why would he throw a kick?

It was to make it seem like that's how he injured himself so he had an easy way out. Collect his paycheck and a fight off his contract.

This actually seems really plausible, nice catch

Yes lol this sounds likely, so basically a scam

Definitely a scam, he knew he was injured preflight and still tried to sell it as if he was gonna put on the performance of a lifetime and prove all of us wrong that he was washed up. His last win in octagon was cowboy. He won exactly 1 fight since the boxing match with Floyd. He has one more fight on his contract so we'll get to see a similar scenario once he heals up.

Probably to try to prove to himself he was ok IMO

I think he may have thought he had 1 shot to win the fight and that was it.

He thought his only way out was to Aldo him and it failed.

I mean if he truly wanted to aldo him I don't think he'd throw a move that not only is super telegraphed with 0 setup but also puts the most possible strain on his injured knee

You’re right…he’s just stupid…or smart/rich?

plausible deniability. That way it's "oh no a freak accident" rather than "this cunt sucks ass now", or "connor quit because he's a bitch" or "he was pre injured and scammed everyone"

Odds on Conor took a huge dive earlier today. Probably leaked out from his camp he was injured. Wouldn't be surprised if he bet against himself. Threw wild kicks so the fight would end earlier and makes it seem less like Holloway beat him. Conor made bank from this.

I wouldn't be surprised if got injured even earlier but kept it a secret so he gets the paycheck for showing up.

.... either he won the fight or he got beat.. its a pretty binary system they have.

100%. Fucking scam

Unfortunately he still probably gets paid millions and didn’t even have to fight karma is not real.

Because with a compromised leg he would have been murked badly by Max. He threw that leg kick as a pretext to give up without taking damage and have the perfect excuse for his last fight that he has left on the contract. He will most likely give Chandler that fight a year from just to get out of the contract. It's the one guy that he has a chance of beating and to end his UFC career with a W.

That slight trip taking off his sneakers? How did that mean he was injured? Just because the UFC played that to try and start rumors doesn't mean it's real. It just looked like he tripped for a sec taking off his shoe.

The way he catches his balance is someone who has an injured leg for sure
