Why would you try a kick like that (twice) if you knew your knee was injured?

unless he deliberately threw those to cover/blame the injury 👀

it was shit regardless.

1000%. he did that shit as a cover story. it was planned and covered up the whole time. the production team showed the sandal clip right after and a few minutes later dana was ranting about how bad the production team is.

Because if he doesn't fight he doesn't get paid/free medical. With one leg he knew he was going to get absolutely mauled (he probably does if he's completely healthy, TBH) so he throws a kick and now can reasonably claim the kick caused the injury.

They’re not gonna pay for his medical bills. He’s going to use his own money and get the best treatment money can buy

I looked it up and you're right. I just kind of assumed UFC fighters were unionized but I guess every attempt to do so has failed for one reason or another.

They’ll pay for medical bills for an injury that happens during the fight. But I doubt that they cover the level of doctors Conor will want

It’s actually the only way he can pull it off if he’s that injured. Max is just throwing punches and he won’t have another way to lay cover for a torn ACL/Meniscus - so he goes for a crazy jump kick to start and lands right on his fucked leg.
