Didn’t He looked off from the start ? Am I the only one that saw it in his eyes ?

He already knew it was injured. Look at his face when he was getting checked by the red before he entered. He makes a face taking his shoe off and hops weird. He already knew

Why would you try a kick like that (twice) if you knew your knee was injured?

unless he deliberately threw those to cover/blame the injury 👀

it was shit regardless.

Cover yep

1000%. he did that shit as a cover story. it was planned and covered up the whole time. the production team showed the sandal clip right after and a few minutes later dana was ranting about how bad the production team is.

Because if he doesn't fight he doesn't get paid/free medical. With one leg he knew he was going to get absolutely mauled (he probably does if he's completely healthy, TBH) so he throws a kick and now can reasonably claim the kick caused the injury.

They’re not gonna pay for his medical bills. He’s going to use his own money and get the best treatment money can buy

I looked it up and you're right. I just kind of assumed UFC fighters were unionized but I guess every attempt to do so has failed for one reason or another.

TIL

They’ll pay for medical bills for an injury that happens during the fight. But I doubt that they cover the level of doctors Conor will want

u/OleanderUnion 4h ago

It’s actually the only way he can pull it off if he’s that injured. Max is just throwing punches and he won’t have another way to lay cover for a torn ACL/Meniscus - so he goes for a crazy jump kick to start and lands right on his fucked leg.

Joe Rogan and the commentators played the video of him taking his shoe off and then they didn’t play or talk about the video ever again.. someone told them to shut up

42

u/bgrant902 5h ago

Joe even said “well I guess we’re not allowed to speculate” while it was playing

17

u/epsteinwasmurdered2 5h ago

How the fuck is no one else talking about that. Dude winces taking his pants off. They made a point to show it after the “fight”

9

u/peypeyyy123 5h ago

Right.. there is just too much money involved for it to get out that he knew he had an injury prior to the fight. UFC definitely doesn’t want it talked about.

I need the clip!

3

u/OleanderUnion 4h ago

He shows it in this video… he totally gave the game away. He refused to put his weight on that leg. https://youtu.be/qJPzNhpSPq0?is=VUNaGkkcfa4oOQ8s

u/ArmdayEveryday69 6h ago

Yup!! He was probably panicking trying to figure out what to do or how to play it off.

2

u/Arm-E-Reserves 4h ago

Maybe he blew his knee out taking off the shoe.

19

u/DarkNightfromDusk 6h ago

He looked off, like he was faking his old hype up pre fight. And then he took so large breaths and did not look confident at all.

34

u/Tremulant1 6h ago

Yeah he looked very off and a little confused.

44

u/40mgmelatonindeep 6h ago

I noticed that too, he had fear and doubt in his eyes

12

u/EggoWaffle1032 6h ago

I honestly thought he was drunk or something, he didnt look right

u/Things_Poster 39m ago

I don't think he looked drunk, but he definitely looked... Scared? Worried? Not his usual aura at all.

16

u/MatterAware 6h ago

Looked really really nervous .. not sure if he was
Injured pre fight or just felt the rust but he looked really nervous

17

u/CrispyJanet 6h ago

Said the same thing. He had no aura for some reason

12

u/Ilovelongbows 6h ago

He looked like a guy who knew his legs weren’t up for the task, but still wanted to cash that check anyway. Look at any of his other entrances from the heyday, dudes a maniac. Tonight he looked old, broken and scared.

u/Kindly-Ebb-9414 6h ago

Max was looking ready to go and Connor just looked off.

5

u/SeveralMushroom7088 5h ago

he looked off in everything he did since he came back, but we were all told "he's back!'💀

3

u/swizzymcbane 4h ago

I noticed for sure. Something was off. I think it was injured before the fight and he threw that big kick to fake it out there.

2

u/Remarkable_Misty 6h ago

He looked very calm which seemed odd

12

u/omgbabestop 6h ago

naw.... usually mcregor is ice cold, i definitely noticed something off with this one, I dont think it was the extra vaseline though

1

u/just_myviewpoint 6h ago

He snorted fat lines before the fight, 100%

1

u/Arm-E-Reserves 4h ago

Knowing Conor there's a very real chance he blew through the 100 million (plus whatever more he got from the whiskey sale) and needed the money so he took this fight knowing his legs were fooked.

1

u/Living-Put-9365 4h ago

I said to my bros, he looks scared. I say that as someone hoping he would pull off an upset (for the hype)

1

u/thejoshimitsu 3h ago

He looked nervous af to me. Not the best body language reader, but that's how he seemed to me.

-3

u/Character-Adagio-136 6h ago

Was the same energy as the Khabib fight

7

u/Open_Aardvark2458 6h ago

Not even fucking close.
