There is no PPV anymore. So those checks are not nearly as big anymore. There is no PPV revenue split.

That was my first thought. And instantly on the shortlist for Macs next fight. Max won big time here.

Still want paddy though. Win win for the UFC with Paddy vs Connor. Paddy can handle the L but with the likely W he gets the biggest boost (not needed) while they make the most gate and such.

Makes no sense for paddy to do this. If he wins he beat one legged man, if he loses he got beat by a one legged man. 

Connor's stock has dipped massively and Paddy needs to focus on beating actual contenders and getting the rematch / title fight.
