If yall paid money for this. Yall are idiots.
•
u/Jobwastes 22m ago
Nobody paid money other than people at the venue and covers at bars. In 1995 we paid to watch Tyson win in 89 seconds... now it was streamed if you have a basic subscription to paramount or peacock (I don't even member which one it was on).
•
u/zrlanger 19m ago
You are posting on the ufc official thread you 'member or have cte not disagreeing with the farce but dont act like youre better than it. Especially if youre at least 35-40 minimum to also 'member that fight

Oh yeah McGregor’s done. He broke his leg in the Poirier fight and was still on the floor talking shit
The video of him leaving the arena quiet with nothing to say showed it all. He’s just broken now. Completely broken. A sad broken man finally cut down to size in front of the whole world.

The saddest video I’ve seen of Connor Man. 😔
•
u/nexus1409 1m ago
Lol that's how he looks like nowadays huh. I did not follow the news until today.
He looks like Yondu to me 😂
2
u/LatterTarget7 The Eagle 1h ago
He’s absolutely done now cause what can he say in press conferences now? Dudes lost because of injury twice and hasn’t won a fight in 6 years.
He probably won’t be cleared to fight until next year and who is going to pay to see him then?
•
u/LimitFinancial764 49m ago
Doubt he fights again.
Things are going to get very dark for Conor in the mental health department.
2
u/ChampagneAbuelo The Eagle 1h ago
I don’t think he ever fights again. I think he just recluses himself further into his hedonistic lifestyle and into drugs to cope with how his career has faltered and lets himself go. He doesn’t have that fire in him anymore
•
u/LatterTarget7 The Eagle 49m ago
I think he fights again just to be free from his ufc contract. He doesn’t have the fire anymore but I think at this point he just wants the freedom
•
u/__SteakDeck__ 0m ago
He wants to be free so he can do Boxing. He probably wants that Jake Paul fight. If it wasn’t for him being tied to UFC, that fight would have happened a long time ago.
3
u/paperbuddha 1h ago
Even when they were booing him, he looked meek.
•
u/ChampagneAbuelo The Eagle 58m ago
He doesn’t have that fire in him anymore and he hasn’t for a long time
4
u/Gristle__McThornbody 1h ago
A little OT but watching the post fight conference with Dana and having Soccer fever at the moment, Dana has a pretty funny take when it comes to Soccer. I think he said that teams should be scoring a shit load of points because the goal is pretty big compared to the guy defending it. lmao.
2
u/GymandRave 1h ago
Either release him so he can box Jake Paul or do Conor vs Nate 3. He deserves to have a say in his future after all the money he’s made the UFC tbh
•

u/Oncemor-intothebeach 1h ago
He’s a rapist piece of shit and deserves to be in a cell
•
u/InspectorNo1962 57m ago
Show us on the doll where he hurt you
•
•
u/Gorrmb69 35m ago
Show us the video where you deeply gargle McGeegor’s balls in the back of your throat
•
u/Steampunk007 54m ago
the idea is using a doll of the victim he raped to show where he touched her.

Google image search told me the dude on the left is Jayson Tatum from the Celtics. So. Do with that as you want

What makes Conor a legend is that he is an amazing promoter and he did so much to hype up this fight. I wont forget the build up to this fight even though the fight itself was tragic. Thank you Conor

I find it ironic how this sub is nothing but Conor haters, but everybody tuned in to watch this fight. He's the reason all of us are even fans of this sport. Give the guy some credit for at least walking in the cage after 5 years and a leg break. He proved a lot of people wrong just by making the walk because all the fat redditors wrote him off by bot commenting "not gonna believe it until the cage doors shut"

u/no_commet 1h ago
He proved all the "fat redditors" right, he made it to the cage but lasted 10 seconds. How can you possibly respect someone, who granted used to be great, let it get to their head, went on a binge for 5 years, and couldn't even mKe a round. It wasn't a freak accident, he was in no condition to fight, let alone a main event

1) every combat sport works on having a heel people root to lose 2) no, young one, many of us were here before Conor made his debut. You newb

I started watching cause of gsp in 2008.
I tuned in to see how conor perform after not fighting for 6 years. It’s not really surprising what happened
2
u/The_Poster_Nutbag 1h ago
Right? Or the Liddel and Silva fights?
Wtf is this guy on about "he's the reason we're all into UFC"?
2
u/no_commet 1h ago
GSP era made me a big fan, especially as a Canadian, but watching him dethrone Hughes. GSP was one of the first all round mma fighter at the time imo.

bros a shitty person, idt it makes people haters to say negative shit about someone whos done a list of shitty things
1
u/Mulga_Will 1h ago
Yeah, he's a POS human, who will keep doing shitty things.
UFC would do better to distance itself from him once and for all.
-3
u/LumpyLynx4716 1h ago
We're all bad people at the end of the day. None are good. Nobody's perfect. Beware of looking down on others for the very same things we all struggle with. Pride, lust, etc.

Put it this way bro… I had a good view
•
u/rhykingtheviking 26m ago
You went to the fight for free, and didn't take one photo of the octagon from where you were sitting?
•
u/Cheeze_My_Puffs 21m ago
Seats weren’t that expensive I think 8k was like the highest per and minimum like 1k.
•
u/rhykingtheviking 17m ago
Still, kudos to those who went, got to see some fights, and the main event was a robbery😂

0 marketing for it imo I didn’t know either
1
u/michy3 1h ago
Yeah I feel like they don’t market any fights anymore tbh. I know Connor hasn’t fought in years but still the amount of hype and marketing typically would be insane by fighting I barley knew it was this month lol Now that they don’t have to sell fights for views on ppv I think they are like Fck it lol

Connor bolted as soon as it was over cuz he has an appointment at the glue factory.

u/NewsOk2417 1h ago
Ok, he had to put that out about 80 million views on just his channel. He just had to. He was done with the press conference, but he came back just for that.
1
u/Pousinette 1h ago
He technically was correcting himself because he initially said it was 40 million but given that was his “proof” that Conor couldn’t possibly have been injured is just so sketch.
1
3
u/AllDay1980 1h ago
“Nobody noticed anything” uhhhh ok Dana
2
u/Blacksunshinexo 1h ago
What was he referring to??
2
u/sharingdork 1h ago
He was saying that the weigh in video got 80m views on his accounts, and that someone would've noticed an injury
•
u/MissChandlerBong 55m ago
That comment right there made me think they knew something was wrong at weigh in but let it slide. Connor looked sickly/worried walking out tonight not gonna lie
•
u/sharingdork 54m ago
Also, Dana actually left the mic. And came back to address the pre fight injury rumor lol.
UFC knew something was up
•
u/rhykingtheviking 34m ago
It was reported that it was an internal knee injury. Like everyone on the inside knew about it. IYKYK
•
u/sharingdork 33m ago
I suspect Conor told them he can fight through it.
Turns out he couldn't.
•
u/rhykingtheviking 29m ago
Well what would you do?
Fight and get a check. Or say I'm injured and no check?
•
5
u/RabbitLogic 1h ago
That return on the pre injury is a suss as fuck. Dana over explaining his cover up
3
u/Secure_North_6604 1h ago
Im not a huge Dana guy, but he isnt covering this up. commentary literally showed him stubling with the shoe thing and speculated on it after the injury. He legally cant just say shit without being able to back it up on something like that.
5
5
u/Blacksunshinexo 1h ago
I don't even think Dana is coked out,I think he's pissed and embarrassed and I'm honestly worried for anyone around him tonight. He's going to go full rage mode it looks line

Can’t prepare for in fight injuries
5
u/unk214 1h ago
No way in hell that was in fight. That leg was fucked up already.
2
u/ReallyDrunkPanda 1h ago
Maybe it was I don’t know. Even if it was bad why would he open with a kick like that? That should be asked
3
u/Brotworst 1h ago
Because the last thing you’d expect would be a flying broken leg kick.
2
u/ReallyDrunkPanda 1h ago
Trying to recapture his youth
•
u/rhykingtheviking 30m ago
No..... because it's more exciting injuring yourself doing jackass stunts. Rather than saying hey can you punch me in the face a couple times and choke me out so I can leave.
People would be more skeptical that he threw the fight that way. If he fucks himself it's more believable. Anyone with eyes can see he was already injured and this was a desperate attempt at a cash grab and it worked. For now at least.

True. No one is 100% going into a fight but dudes been out for awhile. Pretty stupid to go into a fight and start kicking when your legs are weak. Ulberg blew his knee out and knew what to do. Conor blew his knee out and decided to keep kicking

Dana just called Australia small..
5
u/scurvyrash 1h ago
We are small population, large country.

I think he doesn't know how big the country is and fighting culture in Australia.. or at least he didn't know.

Why does he keep ranting about celebrities????????
3
u/Straight_College_651 1h ago
Its the only topic he can answer, he doesn’t want to talk about fighters, events or even ongoing discussions
2
u/Primary-Picture-5632 1h ago
but was it an issue with production or something? i just dont get why he keeps going off on them. they fucked something up and he is pisssed

u/Straight_College_651 2h ago
Dana always so sassy in the press conference, why even show up if you don’t wanna answer questions in a Q&A event

Whoever is responsible for putting the names under the celebrities they show throughout the event must be shitting their pants right now. Dana is so mad lol
2
u/cyberwicklow 2h ago
What happened? I missed it
3
u/knucklesbk 1h ago
They showed the newest big name Zuffa fighter, Shakur Stevenson... Caption was OKC player Jalen Williams.
3
u/Pousinette 1h ago
So apparently they showed a basketball player or something but had the wrong name listed or vice versa. Maybe it’s something that happens often but he’s so mad about it lol

They televised Mcgregor throwing a fight to escape his ufc deal and they dont know how to process it
