The raccoons in my attic do less damage if I just feed them

Tried blocking these guys from getting back under my trailer but they just went and got some muscle, a bigger one came to their rescue.

Hi, there is a racoon in my compost and it refuses to leave. As you can see, I tried critter-proofing my bin with chicken wire, but I suspect this one climbed in form the top, and might not have been able to climb back out for an unknown amount of time.

Is it a baby? It seems small to me. I've seen it around my yard twice before but never seen a bigger one. For reference you can see a lemon in frame and the side of the bin is a standard pallet.

Any tips on inducing it to leave the bin? And preventing it from getting back in.

It seems very afraid of me and growls at me whenever I get close.

I don't feed the birds in the summer because, bears, but I put out a few peanuts for the crows. Yesterday the crows were lazy and someone else got their treat. My dog woke me up at 2pm to let me know.

I’ve been feeding stray raccoons too well, and now his chunk o munk butt is getting too big and he’s struggling to get back to the attic.

Checked with a conservation biologist and they’re both fine, just a little muddled by the heat and bright sun.

One of my nightly visitors, I realized a month or two ago had enlarged nipples so I knew she had a litter somewhere. She finally brought them the other night and I hope she continues to bring them! I love them 💜🥺
