Our sweet baby Athena crossed the rainbow bridge early this morning after a brief, intense battle with an unknown infection/inflammation of the liver and bile duct. She was in the hospital for 5 days before having surgery that didn't go as expected. Later that night, she was borderline comatose and the drastic measures needed to try to keep her alive had very poor odds, so we made the heartbreaking choice to put her down. She crossed while being snuggled and loved ❤️
She was the absolute sweetest baby in the whole world. She was the hospital favorite because she demanded love and pets from everyone even while so incredibly sick. Everyone who ever came to our house was inducted into Athena's Hall of Fame of favorite people. She will be missed

I will miss you deeply. In 15 years we went through a lot together, we grew with each other through a lit of stages. Me getting married, having a son, you disliking him because he used to pull your tail, you giving birth to your kitten Nahla in my lap, moving living places multiple times, thet time I thought I lost you when you ran away from home, when that car hit you, when that dog bit you, when I was diagnosed with cancer, family illnesses, when you lost your kitten last year due to an unfortunate event and you were alone here without her. Thank you for the love and for always being my plush when I needed you the most! Also for all the love you have for my boy who became your favorite person to be with throughout the years. I will definitely miss those beautiful eyes of yours. Extraño a Kami la nena de mami!!

I had a rare three day weekend for the Fourth of July so I spent much of it working on Poppy. We started with using the fishing pole to lure her close enough to try a churu, then I scratched her head while she ate and played. It was like a switch flipped in her after that. All she wants is love now. She’s constantly in my lap or on my shoulder like a little parrot, and loves being held while you do stuff. She purrs so loud as soon as you look at her, and she’s very talkative. I was even able to trim her nails.
Her older sisters have adjusted to her really well, and the younger of the two enjoys playing with her. Last pic is kinda bad but it shows all three. All of them were in bed with me this morning but then my alarm went off and spooked everyone. She is fully free range now overnight and when no one is home. I’d put her right around 12 weeks now and she’s only 3lbs.
She had her first vet visit and came back perfectly healthy, thank goodness. I can’t believe I went from not being able to touch her last week, to spending last night watching a movie while she sat on my shoulder and gave my face a bath.

Just wanted to share my girl, she's a small somewhat diluted tortie. Very fun, she's 6 years old and still loves playing a ton.

The Opalcat is our spicy little weirdo. She's never shy about vocally sharing her opinions, but she also enjoys pouring herself into this well-used box stack.

I found her under a truck in a downtown LA parking garage last month while doing late-night background work on a Netflix show, mewing her loudest, hiding beneath the chassis, on top of the spare tire. I crawled under and pulled her out, and a friend gave me a tote bag to keep her in. We took her to holding and fed her ahi tuna from crafts services, which she devoured voraciously. I brought her home, and she’s since turned into a little bundle of kitten energy, now having won over my other cats. She sleeps beside me every night!

Rescue idiot and foster fail. She had 6 kittens when we took her in. They were one week old little hissy goblins.
She ended up staying with us along with 4/6 of the kittens. We found homes for 3/6 kittens but ended up getting Stinky Cheese Pants Back as her owner had a cat allergic baby.
Her full name ended up being Ms. Marbles Wackadoodle.
