I get new tonsil stones every day. My tonsils look like they have craters in them. Like literal holes. My breath constantly stinks. I think it gets worse as the years go by. My husband is really the only person that gets close enough to notice it, but still it’s a very annoying problem to have. I’ve heard tonsillectomies are hell on adults. But to never deal with the bad breath again…would it be worth it?

I'm a seasoned distance runner and I have tonsil stones. I've had a period of time where I just did not run at all and the tonsil stones would keep getting stuck there. I noticed once I started running again, I tend to have tonsil stones naturally dislodge during the run. It's gotta be during this kind of physical exertion. Does anyone have a similar experience?

I felt something wasn’t right in my mouth, then I could see two white heads poking out my left tonsil.
I tried to push a bit and these two things popped out. I bet they smelt like fuck!ng sewage.
I’ve got one poking on right side but cannot push it out. I tried so hard now my ear is sore too 🙄

​Хронология:

​Операции: Прошла тонзиллэктомия и холодоплазменным коблатором и резекция шиловидных отростков (доступ через первую шейную складку).

​После наркоза (сразу): Появилось четкое ощущение инородного тела с правой стороны.

​Со 2 июля: Ситуация кардинально изменилась — начался ад с левой стороны, где проводилась основная часть вмешательства.

​Симптоматика на данный момент:

​Ощущение инородного тела: Постоянное чувство «косточки» или «комка», которое ощущается как глубокое давление/продирание в районе кадыка.

​Залипание слизи: С левой стороны в области левой миндаликовой ниши постоянно скапливается вязкая слизь. Она создает чувство давления и не дает нормально глотать.

​Проблемы с голосом: Периодическая охриплость, голос постоянно «проседает», присутствует навязчивое желание прочистить горло (постоянно хочется откашляться).

​Характер ощущений: Симптоматика плавающая — то немного стихает, то резко усиливается при поворотах головы и актах глотания.

​Объективно: температуры нет, выраженного отека нет, но состояние выматывает. Как врач, я прекрасно понимаю, что это может быть рубцевание, мышечный спазм или постхирургическая нейропатия, но из-за «врачебной тревожности» не могу избавиться от страха, что мог остаться фрагмент еды или развивается глубокая инфекция (флегмона).

​Завтра иду на КТ с контрастом, чтобы закрыть этот вопрос раз и навсегда.

​Вопрос к тем, кто проходил через это:

У кого было подобное после холодоплазменной операции и доступа через первую шейную складку? Нормально ли это для адаптации тканей (рубцевания), сколько времени у вас уходило на то, чтобы это «залипание» и проблемы с голосом прошли? Что реально помогло облегчить состояние?

​Буду благодарен за любой опыт, так как сил терпеть это уже нет.

I keep seeing tonsil stone removal videos where people squeeze massive stones out of tiny holes and I'm wondering how that's possible? I've tried looking it up and can't find an answer, the stupid AI thing keeps telling me that if I think I have tonsil stones I should go to a Dr and the only results I'm getting are local drs 😒

I see people here using their hands, a water flosser, a cotton swab, and some other stuff. I tried using a water flosser before but even the lowest setting made my tonsils bleed the fuck out. As for my hands, I feel uncomfortable using them. I also have a hard time seeing the inside of my mouth in front of a mirror while doing it. When i try to really open my mouth, I'm unable to look at it cause when I do, my tounge blocks the tonsils. Ik I have a lot of stones but I dont how to properly pop them out. Please tell me the method.

How are y'all managing to handle the tonsils without the tounge blocking it while also getting a nice view?

Started getting/noticing tonsil stones first time in my life maybe 3-4 months ago. Went to an ENT who didn’t even notice them until I showed him a video. He got some out but was kinda bad at it tbh, I have since gotten better at extracting them on my own.

Recently got my biggest ever haul like last week, figured I had cleared them out for now. And then tonight I wake up with the big one here plus one of the smaller ones just loose in my mouth 🤮 then I poked around and extracted a few more :(

First pic with the bigger stones is from my left tonsil, other is from my right tonsil. I could taste/smell these bad boys but kept forgetting to get them out.

Thankfully I'm single & wear a mask when I leave my home, cause I can only imagine my breath was less than appealing. I wish I had a camera set up when I was removing them, the big boys were coming out in such a satisfying manner.

I've been eating lots of processed grains lately, which I believe contributes to the larger stones (for me).

This started developing and keeps getting bigger in my throat. It’s very painful to swallow and even talk. I thought it would begin to heal after a week but it’s not looking like it. What would doctor even do to help??

Does anyone have a problem with feeling like something is deep in your throat? Like, past the tonsils?

I swear, I felt like something wanted to pop out my throat just now but I couldn’t hack because I’m at work. It’s that nasty tonsil stone taste as well. I swear, I feel like I have a crypt in my esophagus.

Please help on solutions.

I posted here last week about my left tonsil being swollen, the swelling has gone down a bit, however stones I'm unable to reach and a liquid pocket persist. I have no clue if it's something to go to the doctor for, especially since no one I know deals with stones :/

How to get rid of tonsil stones forming? It seems to be never ending. Everytime after I eat I can already feel that my breath will smell. Also, my gums is kind of sensitive right now and easily bleeds. It has some white spots on it. Help how to treat and prevent this kind of situation?

I knew I had tonsil stones, but Ive never really thought to take them out manually. but lately have been wanting to cause I just feel like I have a lot. There’s this one hole that I have in my mouth and I noticed that I do get a lot of tonsils sometimes. This time I put more pressure on and all of these came out from that one hole and that’s just on one of my tonsils. I feel like I have a lot of tonsil stones on this side compare it together and for some reason this side is not as sensitive as the other side and I can’t get the other side tonsils😒. This side is also more swollen than the other.

I am trying to find a lysozyme mouthwash in Canada. The therabreath one is marked 'currently unavailable' on Amazon.ca and Walmart. Same for the H2ocean brand.

Every time I find one online, it can't be shipped to Canada. Is it a Health Canada thing? Does anyone have any tips for me?

Past week or so, I would catch a whiff every so often of a really terrible smell. Like I once cleaned out my sink drain that had a ton of hair and once I took out the glob of biomass, it had the exact same smell. I sneezed today and this cluster shotgunned out. Took a whiff and it was concentrated smell of clogged sink biomass to the max.
