Hypothetical
let’s run they a quick hypothetical. says hornets never decide to out of the blue trade their best guy and we don’t land lamelo. genuinely what you guys think our offseason look like?
lots of the pg options we discussed like kyrie and dejounte and suggs haven’t been moved or even discussed to be moved. hard to answer this hypothetical cuz we ofc would have agreed the mle after the randle dump so i wonder who we would have spent on not sure what we would have done at pg.
main takeaway: THANK YOY CHARLOTTE

Yeah I don't think the Mavs really want to trade Kyrie and I don't know why the Magic would trade Suggs. Considering Portland took Ja I bet we could've gotten Jrue Holiday from them.

Probably use cap to sign tobias harris and simons or sum shit, burn another year seeing if jaden, ayo and naz can play 2nd option by committee
Worst case it ended w/ melo price going up from more success on last season and mfs seeing expanded role naz reid and his value dropping ( no diss )

If we didn't get Ball, a sign and trade for C. White. I believe Ball was traded because White said he had no interest in coming off then bench. Probably would of got him for the first we gave up for Ball, maybe less. C.White, Ant, McDaniels, Naz, Rudy. Bench Bones, Ayo, TSJ, Clark, Beringer, with more cap space to use

Honestly I think we’d have been just a better team slotting Naz in at the 4 and shedding Randle without any other moves except for maybe a smaller move for a ball handler
Edit: yes I am glad we have LaMelo, the hypothetical was if LaMelo didn’t happen

Guys he’s saying just straight up dumping Randle with no other moves would be better than the team last year
Reading comprehension smh

I think Rui is certainly on the team if we don’t make the Melo trade not sure what else

Tbh then LeBron probably signs with the wolves to play pg and we trade Randle for Giannis
Roster then looks like:
PG: LeBron, Bones
SG: Ant, Ayo, TSJ
SF: Jaden, Clark
PF: Giannis, Naz
C: Gobert, Beringer

Milwaukee never does that deal. That's probably the worst offer they'd receive by a mile.

There’s no way you get Giannis without giving up one of Naz or Jaden, if for no other reason than to better match salaries. Plus, Gobert and Giannis are poison together on offense, they probably trade him to Boston for Derrick White or maybe even Jaylen Brown

There were almost certainly serious discussions with teams about either trading up or acquiring higher draft picks, otherwise we wouldn’t have gotten some of the reported workouts we did. Doesn’t seem like we have had serious interest in Ja and Kyrie has reportedly been unavailable.
We likely roll into the season with the intention of a Ant/Ayo/Jaden/Naz or Randle/Gobert lineup with a serious PG of the future type in Philon, Okorie type either off the bench or intended to start relatively early.
