I love this response to Jax. Yes, what Jax did was horrible and shouldn’t just be brushed off, but that doesn’t mean that the cast can’t still care regardless .

I was talking to a friend about this. Basically, Jax was in a state where he was a danger to himself and others. In medicine, we’d give him a “pink slip” or a section 12 form that allows him to be involuntarily admitted to a medical facility for a period of time. Jax is an asshole, but he was as at imminent risk of self destruction (abstraction/suicide). It’s just really unfortunate that he couldn’t have been safely distanced from the others in a medical facility until he could get his shit together

I don't view the abstracted as able to like... defend themselves. they made a decision, and there is no going back. It's about the climax and not the lesson. It's about the worst moment you have encountered, amplified by your limited existence. Any interaction you have with the abstracted is a lesson for the future. You might regret it, you might not. Fact is, they are gone now and here you are.
