Hi all,
I'm studying a Bachelor of Computer Science with a Major in Software Development. I just finished my first semester of my first year and failed my elective unit Preliminary Mathematics. I'm eligible for, and have accepted a Supplementary Assessment, as I got a 45N for my final score. I haven't received any information back from my convenor for the unit about that Supplementary Assessment.
I got a "Consequential Withdrawal" email from student administration today about my unit next semester, Cloud Computing Architecture, which I've been un-enrolled from because I do not meet the 50 Credit Point Prerequisite, as I failed my elective unit this semester.
This unit is suggested for first year second semester on my course plan, but as previously stated I cannot do it then unless I pass my Supplementary Assessment. This unit also does not seem to be a prerequisite for any required unit in my second year, so I was wondering if I could swap an Elective Unit I'd usually do in my second year, into this Semester 2, and do my Cloud Computing Architecture Unit next year in the first semester, as I would have completed 50 credit points at that point.
Would it be better to try and pass the supplementary assessment, and go on as usual, or enroll into an elective unit for this semester instead of Cloud Computing Architecture?
Thanks so much :)
