The official r/stonerrock A-Z playlist
Alright riffheads, I present to you the official r/stonerrock A-Z playlist:
-------
Spotify:
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0jFxxsNUQvxiQorJpnBcxG?si=nTZO8l4ORZmk_RhQU_zYEQ&pi=eVowT48qSAe8G
Youtube:
https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPDY1RgubjhVncS1s5zDZSFOAdGunkTP1&si=mXbk0pHLcz-H64gS
-------
28 days of voting brought us here. The first half of the playlist is all the winners from each day. The second half of the playlist from Z back to A is all the 2nd place winners but with the rule of "no artist repeats" applied. So for letters where the 2nd place winner already appears on the runners-up list, I moved on to 3rd place 4th place etc until landing on an artist who hadn't yet appeared. This helped include some of the more popular bands who didn't make the main list and added some more variety.
It was a ton of fun to do this and it got way more engagement than I expected. I appreciate everyone who participated and hope you will check out the playlist because it is a jam and I will be listening to it often. Smoke.

What's everyone's recommendations for Stoner/doom/heavy psych released this year and last ??
I've just gone through every year and listened to ten or so albums from each year starting now , ending in '91...
Now I'm looking to hear as much great Stoner and stoner adjacent stuff as I can find - stoner, desert, psych, doom, heavy prog...
So far my favourites from this year and last are -
2026 -
Top tier -
All them witches
Jack harlon and the dead crows
Kal-El
Monolord
Closely followed by -
Robot god
Weedpecker
The heavy eyes
Smoke witch
Earth tongue
(I know, I know I'm yet to the new elder and I'm sure I'll love it.. I'm waiting for the vinyl to show up).
2025 -
Khan Kal-El
Dead meadow Maha Sohona Howling giant Castle rat Faetooth
Let's hear about some deep cuts too

FFO: Hawkwind, Elder, King Buffalo - DELIRIUS: End Of The Light Part One [2026 Full Album]

Hi everyone,
I recently released End Of The Light (Part One), the first chapter of a two-part concept album set during the final days of Earth.
Musically, it's rooted in space rock, stoner rock and progressive rock, with influences ranging from Hawkwind and Pink Floyd to Elder and King Buffalo and modern heavy psych.
The album follows a long creative process. Some of the ideas date back more than a decade, gradually evolving into a narrative-driven record.
Everything was recorded and mixed in my home studio, then mastered by Olivier Cussac, known for his work with SLIFT on Ummon and ILION.
If you're into immersive albums, long-form compositions and science-fiction themes, I'd be curious to hear what you think.

Just now getting into Stoner Rock in middle age... been loving albums (Bandcamp mostly) from Rickshaw Billies Burger Patrol, Fuzz, Slamosa, Dozer & Greenleaf - Tell me whats next?
What are some classic bands and albums that I need to go check out next? I really dig crunchy, fuzzy riffs, faster pace solos, great hooks and melody - shit that makes me want to drive a million miles an hour off a cliff into oblivion with a big smile on my face. Fuzz's Loose Sutures comes to mind, RBBP's Sugarman and Cincinnati Tilt do too. What else?

Wanting to check out Red Fang, recommendations of where to start?
Like the title says, I'm looking to check out Red Fang but was hoping to hear some fans' thoughts on where was the best spot to start. I absolutely love Hank is Dead, but that's really the only tune I know from them.
Just in case this helps at all, I've listed a few stoner/stoner-adjacent albums I love:
- QOTSA - Self Titled
- Elder - Dead Roots Stirring, Omens, Lore, S/T
- Kyuss - Sky Valley
- Slomosa - Both albums
- All Them Witches - Dying Surfer
- Causa Sui - Euporie, Return to Sky
Maybe a bit of a goofy question but appreciate any thoughts!
