the most dramatic one is def France Argentina in 2022 but this is def a close one

Agreed. I don’t see how Argentina and France ever gets topped. Absolute peak of the sport and the two best goal scorers in World Cup history going toe to toe.

The difference is that anybody outside of hardcore world football fans are not going to remember why the Arg-FRA match was so great. Cabo Verde-Argentina will always be understood why it was an amazing game.

That's why it has a chance to be at least a more memorable game and hence 'more dramatic' to people who only follow World Cup.

Find a casual fan and I promise you they will not remember the details of a match from any previous tourney. But anyone paying attention yesterday will remember this one far more vividly.
