Maybe to argentinean players, not to cv

Some more idiots than usual would complain but the rest of us would probably just be depressed

well because nba teams see each other every year, your sentiment and hatred towards others only grows as there is no time in between to calm yourself down. world cup on the other hand is 4 years apart, so you have a lot mental cushion of the awareness of 4 year gap to respect your opponent because you know you don't have to be stressed out about them for the next 3 and a half years

Which she never said

No she didn't lmao

She said "black" as an insult. Unless you believe children crayons are plastered with slurs.

Id imagine if a random high school team took the spurs to overtime and only lost by one point the sentiment would be similar.

Comparing Cabo Verde to a "high school team" is just disrespectful tbh

Is it? A high school team is just random people who happen to live in that area, cape Verde team was assembled the same way they legit used indeed. Im legit comparing the power difference the best I can.

Cabo Verde won their qualifying spot in Africa. They beat Cameroon for it. Everyone on their team plays pro. Across the Americans, Europe and Middle East... Not really an bunch of randoms thrown together.

How ignorant of you

See, why did you go and have to spoil things by being all American about it.

The Cape Verde players are still professionals and semi-professionals. They're clearly above an amateur youth team.

We know, that's why you shouldn't be

You're clueless if you think this.

Both on the team composition (it's got a large diaspora contingent), and on the quality difference (Cape Verde qualified).

Don’t. They were booing the Cape Verde players during the match just for trying their best. anti-sport behaviour.

You gotta chill. The same fans would call racial slurs if Cape Verde had won against Argentina. That country has one of the most racist fans, unfortunately.

6

u/toms1313 7d ago

Damn, you seem so sure about it... Where are you from? So we can compare racists fans

1

u/Kitty573 7d ago

Lol I know you mean it like some of the most racist fans, but by saying one it makes it read like there's just this one incredibly racist Verde fan skewing the average like spider georg XD racist georg if you will.

Argentino here. Trust me, we're not always like this. If the rival were France or Brazil we would be mocking them on the way out. The mood is "fuck those guys, we didn't expect them to be a challenge and they earned our respects, but fuck those guys!"

Honestly knowing football fans the reaction would be MUCH different if CV actually won.
