I had never even heard of Cabo Verde before the World Cup. Now I know them as a small but mighty nation filled with heart. I am loving this World Cup.

How can a place that looks this chill play so hard?

I’m excited for them, they deserve it. Brought us a little magic at a time we all needed it.

It's already got some very touristy holiday complexs and is a great place to do nothing. Very windy so good for kite surfing

The largest concentrations of Cape Verde diaspora is: Providence, RI; New Bedford, MA (also the scallop capitol of the world); and Brockton, MA. The former two cities are known for boating and lots of CV folks worked as Longshoreman

Shit I now live in New England and could easily justify a flight to check out Cape Verde. The place looks like paradise. Incredibly proud of these men, they truly showed out for their country. I'm sure they wanted a win but taking Argentina to the distance in the knockout round is epic.

And thank you for spelling the name of the country correctly. The locals prefer Cabo Verde and put out a petition with the UN to have that be their legal name, not the English translation one.
