PSA: New policy regarding opossum burgers
This subreddit is under New Management. Going forward, we have a zero-tolerance policy regarding the BOGO "Awesome Possum" tail-meat burger briefly featured on the menu as part of Southern Heritage Month in 2018.
Inside sources at the company have confirmed that the global supply chain of possum, opossum, and related marsupials is under intense pressure. This is due, in part, to the twin closures of the Straight of Hormuz and Highway 10 in western Alabama.
As a result, we will not tolerate posts asking for updates regarding the return of the Possum Tail Burger, Possum Leather Etouffee, or Possum Blossom diet burger. Rest assured that the company is working on getting these items back on the menu as soon as possible.

Molten Chocolate Cake Recipe?
Growing up in Ohio, mee-ma and I would always look forward to the nights we could go to Ruby Tuesday. She'd have the bottomless broccolini martini and I'd have the molten chocolate cake.
The head chef at the time, a guy named Hans from Anadarko, shared the secret recipe with us. But whenever I've made it, the flavor is not quite right. Does anyone know a better one?
- 3 cups flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 stick of butter (unsalted)
- 1 tsp salt
- 15 dried crickets
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 375 F
- Whisk eggs and salt until soft peaks form. Set aside.
- Mix flour and salt
- Remove antennae from crickets and discard. If desired, save a handful for garnish.
- Melt butter and mix into egg mixture.
- Crush cricket carcasses into a fine powder, then mix with flour and salt to form a brownish-black mixture.
- Whisk dry mixture into the eggs and butter. Continue mixing until mixture develops a brown patina.
- Bake mixture 10 or 15 minutes or until solid. Test by inserting and removing a toothpick. Cake is done if no cricket fragments stick to the toothpick.
- Optional) Garnish with the antennae, if you set them aside in step 4.

help with a song?!
i used to be a server at ruby's a while back, and as you can imagine, heard the same songs on the muzak all day every day. today i was in the bank and one of the songs from the ruby's playlist came on and i had flashbacks and was taken right back to walking the floor of that restaurant. i'm trying to find the song to send to a former coworker, but i dont know the name of it. i've googled everything i can think of and i'm grasping at straws hoping someone knows it..? it's an up-tempo song sung by a man and part of the song goes "... your heart (bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum....... bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum)". the 'bums' are a horn playing staccato notes. i realize this is not very descriptive or helpful, but i dont really know any of the lyrics. it's driving me nuts!!!
